I'm shocked. Who saw this coming?

Now they are limiting pensions or those that can retire? Liberals ruin everything

Actions have responses...

NY just told the guys who protect their city and do things like run into the towers on 9/11 that they arent gonna support them administratively.

This will quickly become a national trend.

A trend that was entirely predictable.

NY will be bankrupt next because they dont have the $$ to fund all the pensions like most liberal cities.

Nahhhhh!!!! They will count on the taxpayers of the fiscally responsible states to bail them out. Bank on it.

Good deal. NYC should follow Camden NJ's model and reimagine its police department.

And end up with a county police force that hired the vast majority of the city police force that were let go, higher crime and a less diverse police force?

Yeah, that sounds like it will work well.

None of that doom and gloom happened in Camden. This is a good thing.

Nope. Federal marshals will not save this day for New York City.

Camden's department today is much better than NYC's.

I doubt Camden's police would fare as well as NYPD were they to take on Gotham's workload.

Yeah, that sounds like it will work well.

They also nearly tripled in size.

There is only one lesson learned in Camden and that lesson is how to bust the police union.

The people who cite Camden seem to think the police were disbanded, people linked arms, sang kumbaya and the problems were fixed. Like, somehow, this fits their fairy tale so that's what happened.

Justice is not about the number of officers, the amount of equipment they have, or the funding of the police department.

You just need the will power to do the right thing. A little bit of that is worth more than a kings ransom in funding in terms of keeping the peace

Could be there are more illicit substances in, say, Bed Stuy than the upper west side. Could be.
