Looks like butt hurt baby trumps is coming out of his hole. Honest question. Is this a good idea or not for him to be stumping for the 2 run off candidates? I'd like the Repubs to win both, but they must have one. I'd also tell you, Biden is secretly hoping Repubs hold the Senate as to give him cover from the left loons in his party.

Yep, it's a good idea for him to be stumping for the candidates. He received over 73,000,000 million votes, set a new record for an incumbent president, got the most votes ever for a Republican and grew his support from 2016 which included an increase among minorities and drew tens of thousands of people to his rallies. No incumbent republican lost their job in the house in 2020 and others flipped a few seats from blue to red on Trump's coattails. Can't forget the state legislatures that the dems couldn't flip but the republicans did, as well.

Not everyone hates Trump.

He has to because a bunch of discouraged and misguided people are talking about staying home and not voting. The Dems can taste it and will push hard to win

I would agree with that. If he could do 1 unselfish thing prior to leaving, it would be to get his base out to vote in Georgia. Mark my works, though. His rally will be all about him and not the candidates.

It's a good idea in target areas, which is where they are going.

Spoke with Todd Young and Karl Rove last week; the rally is on December 5th. Ballots go out starting December 7th, early voting starts December 15th and the election is January 5th. The timing of Trump's visit is being sequenced with target location. Senator Young wants to get out the vote as early as possible, and mentioned there is a high potential for ice storms the first week of January in GA.

The GOP doesn't believe they can win 1 - it is either both or neither. They feel good about winning both.

I suppose I will never understand the American electorate if what is in the above two posts is true.

People said that because Biden got the nomination over Sanders that the progressives would stay home and not vote because their guy (Sanders) lost out to a "moderate". Those people absolutely hated Trump and everything he was doing and stood for. How could they stay home and not vote. In doing so, they would essentially be voting for Trump.

Now with the situation in Georgia, I simply don't understand how Trump people would stay home and essentially be doing all they could to give the Democrats almost a free rein in many areas by staying home and not voting because they are discouraged that Trump lost. Staying home and not voting in the runoff is essentially voting for the Dem candidate.

Like I said, if these things are true, I just don't understand the American electorate. You absolutely detest the other side's opponent, but because your guy or gal isn't the opposing candidate you stay home and help the other side. Pure lunacy in my opinion.

Trust me he isn't going to be stumping for the GOP candidates. I think y'all are about to learn that he can care less about the GOP or who controls the Senate, especially now. This is Trump trying to get off by having another rally about him and his perpetual victimhood.

This is accurate to an extent. He has told people he doesn't care.

The Georgia rally is a marker, a chit to be called on when he needs a favor reciprocated.

I agree. His legacy now is a conservative S Ct.

If Republicans win both Georgia seats, that will also be a legacy. If Republicans lose, that too will be his legacy

I'm with you in that I think Republicans will prevail in GA.

But if they don't, they'll have themselves to blame. At this moment they're trying to send two messages:

1. The system was rigged against Trump in their state so you can't test the results.

2. You should vote in the runoff because you can trust the results this time.

These contradictory messages are causing real problems with motivating the base.

The race will come down to the parties' respective bases:

1. Will the Trump base come out when Trump isn't on the ticket and has questioned the trustworthiness of the system?

2. Will the Biden base come out when he isn't on the ticket?

Again, I think Dems are a long shot to win these races, but I didn't believe Biden could win in GA either.

It's funny that you think biden has a 'base'. He has nothing other than the stupid liberals that would vote for anyone with a D next to their name. Hell, you could run Mr. Ed for president and that horse would win california.

I suspect Biden doesn't have a base, but rather a very strong "I'm not Trump" appeal. As you say, Trump isn't on the ticket and that was Biden's cache.
I do think that Trump has a base and those 'deplorables' will quit clinging to their guns and Bibles long enough to vote.

Stacey Abrams is who Repubs in GA need to worry about, not Biden. She was touting last week that almost a million GA voters had requested mail-in ballots, and unless something has changed we have to assume that probably means about 700k potential Dem votes. It also helps Dems that the 2 GOP incumbent GA Senators are some of the more obviously corrupt members of that Chamber, and keep getting caught trading stocks on insider knowledge. GOP probably is favored to keep those 2 seats, but they clearly understand they will have to fight off a legitimate challenge to keep them. With Abrams registering voters, and Warnock on the ticket, I bet black voters show up in numbers that are unusual for a post election run-off.

Probably would have gotten a few more if Trump hadn't worked so hard to hobble USPS in important regions.

Trump increased his vote count in Georgia over 2016. He didn't lose support..

18 showed otherwise, they appear to be a personal fans of Trump and not a real base of reliable new Republicans for the GOP or their candidates.

and biden would've gotten a lot less if people who voted using PO boxes had not counted and people who voted in multiple states had not counted. If all the illegal ballot harvesting and pay for votes hadnt happened,

Will the current outcome change? No... did all that happen and more? Yes, a ridiculusly flawed election that Trump appears to have lost due to unconstituional rule changes and fraud.

Well you guys keep telling me how anomaly is an indicator of fraud, and Trump seems to have overshot his polling mark by a signifigant margin, so...there must have been a lot of fraud on the GOP side to try and catch up to Biden's level of support.

If you have a point then make it, I don't have all day. I think a lot of low info voters that couldnt define socialism if their lives depended on it showed up in droves to vote Red. I also think over 80mil people showed up to vote against one of the 3-5 worst Presidents in US history.

I am amazed that anyone wonders why there was such a larger vote turnout this time vs. 2016. Looking beyond an obvious......larger population, but Trump was such a lightning rod for both his supporters and those that wanted anyone but him. Why would you not expect a much larger turnout than normal? We did not have a normal situation on the ballot. I heard plenty of stories of people over 60 voting for the first time.....ever. Trump brought out both sides. Any other "normal" Republican and the vote totals would have been far less.

You're right about one thing, many people can't define socialism including the liberals (or should I say democratic socialists of America).... they're either too stupid to understand they are advocating for communism or they're too dishonest to admit it.

Still waiting for you to tell me if you think honestly increased his support by millions and millions of voters.
