Pretty sure I met him at a football game tailgate back when we were all on BBF. Young man with a big beard. I think he had graduated from Baylor a year or two before and was working in Austin or San Antonio. I remember he was well spoken and enjoyed beer.

Why would you say such a thing?
I have found theres only two ways to go:
Living fast or dying slow.
I dont want to live forever.
But I will live while I'm here.

what would have happened and what would we be debating today?
Had it been antifa and BLM? Probably the same thing with a little more looting. A few dead and the capitol occupied for a while.

So not much different sadly than what happened yesterday.

The only difference would be the national Media reaction...more of "it was mostly peaceful" and "it was just a 100 hot heads out of the tens of thousands of peaceful protestors".

Hate to see the Country come to this point.

Hate that the Left legitimatized mass political rioting/violence over the past year.

Hate that the Right has sunk to their level and done it now.

Hate everything about it.

Yep. Wind has been sown

So there were several years of unrest in the form of strikes and land occupations by anarchist and socialist groups, which resemble current movements like Antifa. These were eventually repressed by right-wing militias, which also have their present-day analogues. Neither side is as well organized yet, but their ideas and methods are similar. Of course there are differences. Racism wasn't an important part of Italian fascism like it is with the American alt-right. Germany is a better comparison in that sense. As Whiterock alluded to, Chinese revolutionaries started by occupying small pieces of land and slowly expanding their influence. On the cultural front, they focused on destroying the relics of the past in order to purge any memory of traditional ways.
and attacking lone police officers at home, then attacking isolated police outposts like checkpoints, small town stations, etc....where there were 1-3 personnel at most. Those kinds of killings and seizures demoralize police and undermine public trust in the regime. Why would any citizen appeal to police for protection when the police could not protect themselves? And if police respond with force, it inevitably involves collateral damage on innocent lives property; if they do not, well it just shows how ineffective they are, to include highlighting lack of will of local political leadership.

That's all textbook stuff. And we see it going on every night on the evening news.

Antifa's aspirations are anarcho-communist in nature, but their tactics are lifted straight from Mao, with unique twists. They have been incredibly creative in using non-lethal force and adaptive defense tactics like phalanx movements and use of common umbrellas to screen their actions and defend from police non-lethal weapons. It's seriously brilliant stuff that will become foundational in tactical studies. The common denominator is that they can count on 1) police to be restrained by law, 2) prosecution to be restrained by political sympathies of local political leaders, 3) legal leftist groups to provide crowdfunding platforms, 4) legal leftist groups to engage in legal political assemblies which obscure Antifa deployments for subsequent mob action, and 5) western societies to be loathe to turn their formidable intel and military institutions loose on civilian populations. It's cutting edge stuff, in the universe of revolutions & revolutionaries.

Turn the military loose on the idiots! Inflict severe pain on them and if it is not enough, keep ratcheting it up until you get them under control.

Yeah, those groups weren't like ANTIFA because ANTIFA isn't actually a thing. Ever notice how no one has ever been able to infiltrate ANTIFA? There has never been an ANTIFA org brought up on real charges?

Dozens and dozens of pieces on QANON, documentaries about white supremacists, nazis, Proud Boys.... but nothing on ANTIFA. Almost no names. No charges. No one in jail.

How is that possible?

How is it possible that someone could be so disconnected from reality?

Antifa is a visible thing with real people and a real agenda.
Antifa has social media presence.
Antifa has street presence.
Antifa doxxes and destroys people and property
Antifa does hand to hand combat with police most nights in Portland.
Antifa has been arrested by the hundreds.
Antifa has laid siege to federal buildings/agents with fire bombs.
Antifa has been videotaped in action.
Antifa has been penetrated by undercover journalists
(Antifa has probably been penetrated by Law Enforcement, too).

Good grief, man. That's quite a pseudo-reality you're living.

Then I'm sure you will have NO trouble showing me where there have been convictions of ANTIFA for terrorism, deaths... attempted murder...

I'll wait.

not my job to keep you current on what's actually happening. If you want to live in your little ideological bubble, have fun.

I am curious about one thing, though. What's your beef with Andy Ngo. Have you actually followed his work?
