Frisco pastor urges followers to help Trump stay in office and keep guns loaded before Biden inauguration

Brandon Burden, the pastor at KingdomLife, cited 'prophetic voices' who have said God told them Trump would be president for eight years.

Days after President Donald Trump incited supporters to attack the U.S. Capitol in an effort to overturn the election, an evangelical pastor in Frisco told his congregation they have an "executive order" to keep Trump in office.

Brandon Burden, the pastor at KingdomLife, is a former Frisco City Council candidate and member of the Frisco Conservative Coalition, a political action committee. He and the church are known around Frisco social media circles to promote conservative ideals and leaders, including Trump, who made history Wednesday as the only president to be impeached twice.

As Burden stood at the pulpit Sunday, he shouted in tongues while a woman at the altar waved a large American flag in front of him. The pastor cited "prophetic voices" who have said God told them Trump would be president for eight years.

"We have an executive order not from Congress or D.C., but from the desk of the CEO of heaven, the boss of the planet," Burden said. "He said from his desk in heaven, this is my will; Trump will be in for eight years."

He said it's the responsibility of his congregation and other Christians to execute God's order and alluded to the Battle of Jericho, leading church members in a march.

"Take down the walls of Jericho," Burden said. "The Lord says your Jericho is Washington, D.C. That's your fortified city."

The pastor, who is also a licensed realtor in the Frisco area, has not responded to a request for comment.

President-elect Joe Biden is to be inaugurated Jan. 20 after winning the popular vote in November by more than 7.1 million as well as the Electoral College vote, which was being certified last week when the mob stormed the Capitol.

Despite these results, Burden said Sunday that he believes "Yahweh will bring a miracle" this week and that Trump will serve as president for another four years.

He also discussed the need to prepare for a national blackout or any emergency that could occur between Sunday and Biden's inauguration. Burden told the congregation to stock up on food, water and gas for generators and to keep their weapons loaded.

"We are locked and loaded at the Burden house," he said.

The pastor advised churchgoers that it's illegal to shoot a trespasser on their lawn, but he said they can if someone tries to enter their home, citing the state's Castle Doctrine.

He also took aim at Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and other Republican leaders, saying that they "want the swamp back" and that the party is corrupt.

"All of them are a bunch of snakes that don't want Trump," Burden said. "They want him out because Trump is a reformer, Trump is an awakener, and Trump is causing this populist, national movement that is not Republican nor Democrat."

I'm beginning to think this Brandon Burden guy may not actually be hearing from God.

This is the reason church attendance is on the decline. It is a disgusting abuse of the pulpit. I left church for good when I realized that pastor, preaching to a HUGE audience of people was spending a lot of time on politics...and his facts were wrong. If his facts were wrong on things one can easily prove/disprove what else was he wrong about?

That's true. This pastor speaks in tongues in front of his congregation. wuzzy and I frequently post in tongues on this board. This pastor preaches in Frisco. I could find Frisco on a map (if you loaned me a sharpie). wuzzy knows that Frisco is in California, on the bay. The pastor has a woman waving an American flag. The American flag in front of my house is waving right now (the wind is shaking us pretty good this morning), and wuzzy prolly has more flags than anybody.

Thanks for outing us. You get to push, instead of pretending to drive like you always want to do, when I get the Pinto Wagon off the cinder blocks.

So...that pastor urged his congregation to prepare for armed force to keep Trump in office?

Is that what I was supposed to think from that headline?

Perhaps leftist journalism is no less fraudulent, dishonest, and manipulative than that pastor.

If God put Trump in as His coice of President, we aren't talking to God enough. I do not get the complete and utter dedication to Trump from Christians.

As a Christian myself, I typically vote Republican because of abortion. Choosing Trump over Clinton and Biden was a matter of policy...not personality...and I'm fairly sure God was holding his nose with me when I voted.

As Christian I too sometimes get sick of church...the trite sayings...the "learned belifes" instead of what is Biblical...I think you should still go but find a new church.

I like one with alot of singing and not much preaching (Episcopal, maybe?)

Curious if his church will draw protestors this Sunday. He may attract some more congregation with this publicity too. Wonder how big the church is?

I keep hearing that, and I can accept that.

But I keep thinking about those guys who scaled the walls of the Capitol. The guy wearing the buffalo horns. The guy with his feet on Pelosi's desk. The guy toting Pelosi's lectern. I haven't asked any of them, but somehow I doubt that they were doing it because of abortion. Somehow I think that they succumbed to a cult of personality.

A couple of questions for the good pastor. In relation to the first bolded statement above, there's this book called the Bible he might want to read. Occasionally. Even the Old Testament law says you can't kill an intruder if he intrudes in the daytime. Also, he might want to read some Jesus.

On the second, how can a reptile drain the swamp?

It's the same thing as being a traitor. Cancel culture of the right wing: we don't believe the vote, so let's throw it out, cancel democracy, and take over the country by force. Fascists, every one who thinks so. Many on this board even.
