Japan had around 70 million people of whom about 99% were ethnic Japanese.

The greatest reason the end of slavery was positive, is that the rape of an entire society, the imprisonment of innocents, the inequality of it all, finally stopped. It was of course positive for the black slaves, as well as sharecroppers who were little more, and also gained fairness and equality post Emancipation. Blacks could rear their own children, own the clothes on their back, reap the rewards of what they sowed.

But it was also beneficial for whites, the majority, because no longer did that horrific injustice have to weigh upon the nation. To rape a single person must be an unthinkable burden upon the rapist, but for a nation to rape an entire culture is simply beyond unimaginable.

It is the darkest of stains upon our flag, and it's not even close. And yes, some things such as justice, fairness, equality, freedom, are worth lives. I wish it could have been done at a much lesser cost, but that's not what happened.

As to how we benefit from the inclusion of blacks in society, we do in the same ways we benefit from any other ethnicity or color of skin. Black Americans are just as capable of greatness as anyone else.

I'm not really going to say much more than that. I was thinking of the first black Congressman, his story and how he was mistreated by even the Republican party of that time. It is much like the story of women's equality, who were for so long held down by men. If women can't claim as much greatness, or first to do a thing, as men, one only needs to glance at history, and all the men who forcefully prevented women from doing those things. Same goes for many minorities in America.

I rarely bother to reply to your foolishness because you are a life long mediocrity and nothing posted here is going to alter the mindset that kept you immersed in it.

Suspect you haven't traveled overseas much.....but if you had you would clearly note that 'diversity' rarely if ever was of any real benefit to the country involved.

Usually just the opposite .

Like it or not this country was established and for the better part of 200 years fundamentally governed by western Europeans .

Faults and all they created the highest standard of living the world has ever seen.
Faults and all they created a society with the most freedoms the world has ever seen.

However they made one fundament mistake.

In their rush to establish wealth they constantly required sources of cheap labor . The long term, detrimental social implications were ignored .

Now we have a situation where the ignorant out number the educated . Where the indolent outnumber the productive. And in a supposed Democracy that is always fatal .

But you and those like you welcome the chaos, welcome the reduction of our standard of living.
Its a price you are happy to pay merely to replace a traditional culture you hate.

If you went back to the year 1750 and proclaimed to the Irish that you were going to make a nation of Irish, Scots, English, French, Italians, Germans, Swiss, Scandinavians, Portuguese, Spanish... the Irishman would certainly not say "that sounds like a homogenous group." He would say "that is too diverse a group to ever, ever work."

Western Europe is incredibly diverse in its own right. You could say that Africans and Asians were on a different level of diverse in 1750, comparatively, but we, as a nation, have struggled through the troubles our diversity has brought us since the beginning, and at least so far, it hasn't killed us, but made us stronger.

What benefits make the trillions of dollars spent on welfare and bogus disability payments worthwhile ? Cheaper oranges, milk and lettuce ?

Exactly what benefits justify the semi annual rioting throughout our cities ? The murders, the rapes, the car thefts ? What benefits justify the destruction of a successful culture ?

You won't have a legitimate answer to any of these questions...because there simply aren't any .

The greatest reason the end of slavery was positive, is that the rape of an entire society, the imprisonment of innocents, the inequality of it all, finally stopped. It was of course positive for the black slaves, as well as sharecroppers who were little more, and also gained fairness and equality post Emancipation. Blacks could rear their own children, own the clothes on their back, reap the rewards of what they sowed.

But it was also beneficial for whites, the majority, because no longer did that horrific injustice have to weigh upon the nation. To rape a single person must be an unthinkable burden upon the rapist, but for a nation to rape an entire culture is simply beyond unimaginable.

It is the darkest of stains upon our flag, and it's not even close. And yes, some things such as justice, fairness, equality, freedom, are worth lives. I wish it could have been done at a much lesser cost, but that's not what happened.

As to how we benefit from the inclusion of blacks in society, we do in the same ways we benefit from any other ethnicity or color of skin. Black Americans are just as capable of greatness as anyone else.

I'm not really going to say much more than that. I was thinking of the first black Congressman, his story and how he was mistreated by even the Republican party of that time. It is much like the story of women's equality, who were for so long held down by men. If women can't claim as much greatness, or first to do a thing, as men, one only needs to glance at history, and all the men who forcefully prevented women from doing those things. Same goes for many minorities in America.

As I have posted before.........

If I could go back in time....back to the 1600's.....I would HANG the captain and owner of the first 50 or so slave ships that attempted to land their 'cargo' into the the American colonies. Would have HANGED anyone who attempted to smuggle slaves onto our shores.

The 'message' would have gotten out very quickly

No slavery in the colonies......no slaves in the United States....no need for the Civil War ....no need for the racial strife that has dominated the American scene since the hypocrisy that was 'Reconstruction'.

Keep in mind ....there was never a major slave revolt .

If whites get the blame for slavery...they also get the credit for setting them free. And almost 400,000 Yankees DIED setting the black man free.

Almost 400,00 corpses in a day when the total population of the North was under 30 million. Today's Americans would NEVER accept such a horrific casualty rate.

So whatever moral 'debt' that existed over a century ago.........was PAID over a century ago in a sea of blood.
