Lake McRee Sophomore Season Highlights
Spring Ball 2019

Thursday Afternoon Recruiting Notes
South Alabama grad transfer outside linebacker Riley Cole is a new name that has popped up on the radar. The Bears are looking at a ton of options in the transfer portal but this one has started to gain at least a little traction. Cole played in 12 games this past year as a redshirt junior and totaled 59 tackles, nine tackles for loss, and three sacks. The 6'3, 230-pound linebacker hurt his knee early in his redshirt sophomore season but played in 12 games during his redshirt freshman season while tallying 55 tackles. He should be able to get that year back with a medical so he will have two years to play. The three-star prospect coming out of high school had 251 tackles, 28 tackles for loss, and five sacks during his final two season. He held offers from Alabama, Wake Forest, and Oklahoma. He was committed to Alabama before they told him they wanted him to greyshirt just days before Signing Day so he elected to stay close to home at South Alabama.2021 Rider defensive lineman E'maurion Banks was a prospect that really started to get to know and like the old staff. He visited back in October and "loved it", plus his cousin is Josh Fleeks.I talked to him a week ago and he had not heard anything from the new Baylor staff but a couple days ago he reached out to me and said, "They reached out to me and want me to go up there to start to get to know them."This is a big step in the right direction for the 6'4, 260-pound defensive end who currently holds offers from Texas, Oklahoma, TCU, and Texas A&M among others.2021 running back/defensive back AJ Green has been talking to Joey McGuire a lot even since the last staff was in place. "I still hear from Joey."The new staff has significant interest in the rising senior so that relationship will continue to grow. He has not made a visit yet because things came up during the season but he will be visiting at some point this spring."I will be able to visit sometime this summer or spring."The talented athlete seems like a great cornerback prospect but had a monster season on the ground this year too. Plus his 10.38 100m will allow him to play just about anywhere he wants on the field.Currently he holds offer from Arkansas, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Texas A&M, and Nebraska among others.2021 Lake Travis tight end Lake McRee recently decommitted from Texas and opened his recruitment back up. The three-star tight end has picked up offers from Colorado, Texas Tech, Auburn, and Alabama since he committed back in early July. Since that recommitment plenty of coaches have been reaching out including Baylor."I've heard from Coach Bell, he has reached out to me."Of course Baylor's new tight end coach wants to get the 6'4, 217-pound tight end on campus soon."They were asking if I could come up to Waco for a visit."McRee does not know for sure if a visit will happen but the location makes it likely. He had a season-ending knee injury right before the season opened up so he has been rehabilitating all football season.

National Average Rating

The National Average Rating is a proprietary formula that calculates an industry-wide aggregate rating for each recruiting prospect. The formula includes publicly listed grades, scores, ratings and rankings by national recruiting services, along with a SicEm365 rating. Combining the data provides a rating for each prospect, which is then normalized to fit the SicEm365 Rating 100-point scale.

The intent of this rating is to provide SicEm365 readers with a comprehensive snapshot of how individual prospects rank nationally.
