Notes From Dallas Under Armour Camp
Only one prospect mentioned anything about the scandal. He was a 2019 kid and wanted to make sure the coaches were real and things changed. Said he had always felt iffy about the former staff. We missed interviewing Kameron Brown because we were interviewing Nana Osafo-Mensah and then the whistle blew. We shared notes with Jason Howell who was interviewing Brown while we had Nana. Brown isn't giving much away in his recruitment, but does plan to visit Baylor.RJ Mickens was a delight to talk with. Extremely intelligent and fun kid to be around. Video interview coming with him and you'll see it.Belton had a tall DE there and I wouldn't be surprised to see Baylor come after him if he can play.Jalen Redmond has a great frame and he came in the last group and the buzzer sounded too quick for us to talk with him.Chance Cover moves so well and could receive an offer soon.Amy will have more, but those were some thoughts and notes from the guy behind the camera.

3/24/17: Recruits talk about visits, weekend visitors added
Today is a good day to share some of the great quotes that Brian got this past Sunday in Houston at the Under Armour camp. S Delarrin Turner-Yell (Hempstead) was at Baylor's Junior Day on February 18th. "I really liked the atmosphere and the people there. The football coaches there seemed cool."DB Christian Morgan (Porter) has 14 offers (including Northwestern, Texas Tech, Vanderbilt, and Houston), but he would like to hear from the likes of Baylor, Texas, and Texas A&M. His hope is that Spring ball will bring attention from some in-state programs.Of Baylor, Morgan said "Waco is home. Both of my parents are from Waco. They both grew up there. I'm always going down there back to work out whenever I can. It would be a good fit for me to go back to Baylor."CB Starrland Baldwin (Cypress Falls) will be in Waco on Saturday, April 1st. Baldwin holds offers from Arizona, Iowa State, Kansas, Oklahoma, and TCU, along with a handful of non-P5 programs. Of his upcoming visit to Baylor, Baldwin had this to say: "I'm looking forward to meeting the staff, building a good relationship with them, and keeping in touch with them. Making good impressions.""I've been to Baylor before with my brother and I loved it, so hopefully the second time is better."On his recruitment as it currently stands: "My recruiting process is open. I've been in contact with West Virginia and Utah, and look to visit U of H and Baylor soon."WR Miles Battle (Cy Creek) is a hot commodity. The 6-foot-4 prospect holds offers from several of the country's biggest programs, but he says that five schools are sticking out the most for him currently."Baylor, TCU, LSU, Oklahoma State, and Oregon. Those are sticking out to me for the most part right now. I'm also looking at Wisconsin and Auburn."On what he's looking at in all programs recruiting him:"The way they are running their offense and the education at those schools. And just the coaching staffs."Battle told SicEm365 that he anticipates that he will "probably break it down, maybe this summer" after he has a chance to do more research. Adding a little list of visitors for my own reference:2020 CB RJ Mickens (Southlake)2018 DE Marje Smith (Marshall)2018 OL commit Jackson Kimble 2017 OL signee Ryan Miller 2017 OL signee Henry Klinge Brian and I will be in Cedar Hill on Sunday at the Under Armour event, so hopefully we'll have more good interviews to share with some of the more elusive prospects next week. Here's to a double Baylor victory tonight.

National Average Rating

The National Average Rating is a proprietary formula that calculates an industry-wide aggregate rating for each recruiting prospect. The formula includes publicly listed grades, scores, ratings and rankings by national recruiting services, along with a SicEm365 rating. Combining the data provides a rating for each prospect, which is then normalized to fit the SicEm365 Rating 100-point scale.

The intent of this rating is to provide SicEm365 readers with a comprehensive snapshot of how individual prospects rank nationally.

Staff Predictions

The predictions represent which school each staff member believes will ultimately sign the recruit, and the confidence meter represents his level of certainty in that outcome.

Example #1

If the predicted school is Baylor and confidence is set to “High”, then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Baylor and I feel very certain about that.”

Example #2

If the predicted school is “Alabama” and confidence is set to “Low,” then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Alabama, but I’m not very certain about that.”
