10 Potential Offers - Junior Day Visitors
WR Drue Jackson (Sachse)- I don't have a lot of insight on this, but was told to not be surprised if Jackson gets an offer from Baylor this weekend. My biggest feeling is that it might come down to if Baylor gets a commitment or two at the position before it goes out. ATH Taye Barber (Cy Springs)- Barber is the kind of back that fits in perfectly to what Matt Lubick likes to do on offense, but like Jackson, this potential offer may come down to if Baylor has someone else in mind ahead of him. If they exit the day without a commitment at a similar position, don't be surprised if Barber picks one up. OL Alexander Costilla (San Marcos)- His film doesn't lie about his ability, but Baylor hasn't been in a hurry about offering offensive line prospects... especially those who might fall into the guard position. Getting him on campus to see how he fits in will be key here. OL Will Lawrence (Memphis, TN/Harding Academy)- Both of Lawrence's parents graduated from Baylor and he's been interested in the Bears since last spring, but had no success getting in touch. Now he's headed in for the junior day. Similar to Costilla, this could come down to how he fits in.DT Dominic Livingston (Aldine Davis)- The Texas A&M pledge is getting a little bit of recognition. More of a hunch here, but Baylor likes height and at 6-4, Livingston might have it better than any other DT prospect in Texas right now. He isn't the lengthy prospect like James Lynch, but his mass is good.DE Spencer Trussell (Arlington Martin)- This one might come after he measures and does his testing at The Opening regional in Dallas, but his film is worthy of an offer today if his size matches up. All of that and the fact that he is a lengthy DE like the Baylor staff likes, I wouldn't be surprsied to see this one come around. CB Tanner McCalister (Rockwall-Heath)- McClasiter wants to stay close to home which is why TCU is the favorite right now. Baylor still has a strong card to play with an offer and one coming at the junior day visit could be enough to help Baylor get strongly back in the mix. The Bears are already in his top three even without an offer. CB Jevon Jones (Allen)- With his height and film, I believe it's only a matter of time before Jones blows up on the recruiting trail. Baylor might as well get in the mix early. CB Trent Gordon (Manvel)- He has several out-of-state offers + Texas A&M. Baylor is light in the CB offer department which is why I have three listed here. Gordon could be one of the three. S Cameron Jones (Mansfield)- The track star is all but in line to receive an offer, in my opinion. I don't know that Baylor would move into the lead with an offer (he really likes Oklahoma), but I wouldn't be surprised.
