2019 Recruiting Breakdown: How many and who?
Baylor is in the running for some high-profile recruits to get the 2019 class finished but who could they end up with?

A few Monday morning notes...
I'll be headed out for the day around 10:30 this morning, but had a few things I wanted to get up on the board first...- Don't expect Tommy Bush to make a decision before the end of his season. I still feel strong about where Baylor stands here, but he is the top option left on the board and Baylor will put all of their efforts into getting him while hanging onto their currenty WR commits. - Baylor is done at WR outside of Bush, which means that Jalen Knox (Mansfield Timberview) is likely off of the table. Baylor likes Knox as a running back, but he sees himself as a wide receiver which is why the Bears haven't and likely will not pursue him heavily now. - Similarly to Knox, any communication with Jaquayln Crawford (Rockdale) is probably going to be non-existent now that Barnes is on board. Things had been heating up a little, but don't expect that to move anywhere further.- Recent Baylor offer Ricky Williams out of Florida has seen offers from Syracuse and Rutgers since he received the offer from the staff. Both of those programs evaluate Florida heavily so I'm not surprised to see them follow Baylor's lead after seeing him this spring. - Cameron Wire is debating on graduating from high school early. He is ready to move on. The issue is that he is a basketball player and he feels that his team has a chance to win state. The best thing for Baylor here is that if he decides to do that. With the early signing period in play, Wire could sign in December before LSU had board in line to make the offer if they haven't already done so. Some close to the situation feel that Wire is Baylor's to lose. We will see how it pans out.- I've been saying it since he put out his top four, but I feel comfortable saying that Bralen Taylor will commit to Baylor. I don't see Texas offering at this time and even if they did, I don't know that it's necessarily a game changer despite what has been discussed publicly and on this board. He wants it, but what's his motive?- Baylor is the top school for 2019 DT Lloyd Murray even with his commitment to Florida State. Don't ask me to explain, it's the craziest thing I've heard. But it's true.

3/21/17 New LB offer, more notes
2018 DT Joshua Landry (Lamar) told me this morning that he has plans to make it to Waco for a practice this Spring, but I'm working to get a specific date. Baylor offered 2018 LB Jack Lamb (Temecula, CA) this morning. Lamb told me that he's been talking a bit with Evan Cooper, and that today he spoke on the phone with linebackers coach Mike Siravo and it was Siravo who extended the offer. Lamb has classified his interest in Baylor as "legitimate" to me, and says that he has plans to live in Texas post-college, so going to school in the state would definitely not be out of the realm of possibility. His Spring is already planned out with regard to visits, but he says he'd like to make a visit happen over the summer Lamb holds offers from the likes of UCLA, Washington, Oregon, and ASU, among others. Baylor is his first Big 12 offer. Something to watch: 2016 DT Kendell Jones (Shoemaker) was followed on Twitter recently by both Evan Cooper and Mike Wallace. Jones is a blast from the past - he expressed interest in Baylor at various points in his recruitment and then he stopped talking to media. Eventually, he committed to Alabama, but then wound up enrolling at a JUCO. Bear with me (SWIDT?) as I try to get some more info here. Baylor offered 2018 ATH Byron Hanspard, Jr. (DeSoto) on Tuesday afternoon. Joey McGuire spoke with Hanspard to convey the offer, but Baylor should not expect Hanspard to visit. "He understood that I'm committed to Arkansas and he respects me as a person and my decision that I've made," Hanspard said of his conversation with McGuire. I've confirmed with 2019 DT Lloyd Murray that he was on campus last week. Murray told me he did a campus tour and got to watch practice. Some quotes from him:"I loved it! The campus is beautiful!""I like it (practice) a lot. They really get after it. I like those kinds of intense practices, especially for the first day!"Just an FYI that there will be an article coming on Jack Lamb, probably dropping tomorrow morning. He and his dad have both shared some great info. This is a kid y'all are going to want to be a Bear.More this afternoon (hopefully)

National Average Rating

The National Average Rating is a proprietary formula that calculates an industry-wide aggregate rating for each recruiting prospect. The formula includes publicly listed grades, scores, ratings and rankings by national recruiting services, along with a SicEm365 rating. Combining the data provides a rating for each prospect, which is then normalized to fit the SicEm365 Rating 100-point scale.

The intent of this rating is to provide SicEm365 readers with a comprehensive snapshot of how individual prospects rank nationally.
