A few notes from tonight...
I might end up being burned on this, but I am continued to be told in a confident manner that there is nothing to worry about with Baylor RB commit Craig Williams. I do view the removal of "Baylor commitment" from his Twitter profile a little worrisome, but my contact who is close with Sqwirl says things are still set between him and Baylor. This person also didn't know anything about Craig visiting Texas this weekend. I sent a message out noting that the class was now ranked No. 25 in the 247Sports Composite (shout out to the competition here...) and was told that there are "a couple more surprises" to be added. Now, I pride myself on providing you guys pretty comprehensive coverage and the person who said that might not aware of all the names we report on, but I take this as a good sign on how things should finish us. As for one of those names that could be a "surprise" Gerry Bohanon is definitely the hot topic here. Depending on who I talk to is the type of feedback I get which is why I'm still 50/50 or so on him. Chad Morris is wanting to add multiple dual-threat QBs to the roster so the recent offer to the Texas commit isn't that surprising to me even if they feel good on Bohanon. There's about to be a shift at Arkansas like there was at Baylor as far as personnel .Like mentioned before, Johncarlo Valentin is still set to visit Baylor in 2018 and sign in February. I mention that to remind you that he has already taken visits to Missouri and Tennessee, leaving him three to take in January. Depending on who else offers, I expect Kansas to get one of the additional two visits. I think it's key here for Baylor to get the last visit if they want it. I obviously do not know what the staff is thinking, but locking in his official visit for Feb. 2-4 could be big. If Baylor wants in with Levon Livingston, it sounds like they won't have to worry about Texas. For one reason or another, the Longhorns look to be on the outside looking in. At this point I personally expect Livingston to wait until February to sign.

The predictions are in: Finishing Baylor's 2018 class
How will Baylor finish out their 2018 class? Here are my personal predictions on Baylor's chances of landing each of their remaining top targets.

A few notes...
- Christoph Henle has signed his Financial Aid Agreement so there are no contact limitations between he and the staff.- Casey Phillips also signed his FAA this morning. He and Henle are both set to enroll early. - Bralen Taylor told me last night that he is considering signing on Dec. 20 but he doesn't know for sure yet. I think it happens if the staff pushes for it. - Baylor is pushing for Alabama DT Allen Love. I'll have more on him later. - The staff will be in Louisiana today to see OL Princeton Pines - Baylor is expected to be in Arkansas on Wednesday to see Gerry Bohanon once again- From there, the staff will head to Florida to see WR Tyquan Thornton - Levon Livingston is still expected to officially visit Baylor sometime in the next 5-7 days.

A few housecleaning notes...
- Baylor has moved on from TJC OL Willie Allen. They like him and would take, but he has been a little wishy-washy. - Hearing rumors of a big official visitor this weekend. This would be one coming from completely off the radar. He's on the defensive side of the ball and will be a big splash name if it actually happens. I apologize that I cannot give a name right now, but when I can, I will definitely pass along.- Baylor has about 11 HS/JUCO targets that they are really focused in on to close out the class. You've seen all of the names except one which is the one in the second part of this update. - Gus Malzahn signing a $49 million extension with Auburn creates a big sigh of relief in regards to Gerry Bohanon. It was never anything that was definite, but it takes a big possibility off the table considering Malzahn recruited Gerry to Auburn and is familiar with him. - Hearing a lot of good things about Cam Jones. Prior to decommitting from UCLA he told Baylor commit Jackson Gleeson that he was going to do it. Read into that how you will, but it's not the only sign pointing towards Baylor that's out there. - Personally, I'm expecting a decision sooner rather than later from Byron Hanspard. I definitely see Baylor in the driver's seat here. - Daevon Robinson isn't set on offense or defense in his recruitment with Baylor. He told me they originally offered as an h-back, but that it's no locked in right now. If this weekend goes well and Baylor has room, I think the Bears get a commitment. - Levon Livingston is still on the table and it should come down to his close to the semester. We have a video coming discussing this.

National Average Rating

The National Average Rating is a proprietary formula that calculates an industry-wide aggregate rating for each recruiting prospect. The formula includes publicly listed grades, scores, ratings and rankings by national recruiting services, along with a SicEm365 rating. Combining the data provides a rating for each prospect, which is then normalized to fit the SicEm365 Rating 100-point scale.

The intent of this rating is to provide SicEm365 readers with a comprehensive snapshot of how individual prospects rank nationally.

Staff Predictions

The predictions represent which school each staff member believes will ultimately sign the recruit, and the confidence meter represents his level of certainty in that outcome.

Example #2

If the predicted school is “Alabama” and confidence is set to “Low,” then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Alabama, but I’m not very certain about that.”
