Solomon Turner quote on commitment; notes
LB, Solomon Turner (6-2, 210) on his commitment:"I mean, Baylor didn't hesitate or sugarcoat my recruitment. They told me straight up that they believed in me as a player and a man. Baylor wants me to succeed at all costs. My support base will be insane as I enter Baylor in seven months as a mid-year enrollee."Quick assessment, Baylor is really high on both of their newest LB commits in Will Williams (6-2, 200, 4.55) and Solomon Turner (6-2, 210, 4.62). Both are extremely athletic after seeing them in person and have great size. I would not be surprised at all if they just took the spot of Myles Jernigan from the class.I will add that I believe both of these guys will get a look at S because of their speed, but both should end up at linebacker with plus athletic ability.
A few decision dates to note & more
- WR Langston Anderson (Midlothian Christian) told me this morning that he will decide at the end of the summer OR after his senior season. - WR/TE/ATH Genson Hooper (Houston St. John's) will make a decision at the end of the summer- OL/DL Gabe Hall (Waller) has stated he would wait until December but we will see if it will hold out that long. - LB Myles Jernigan (South Grand Prairie) has told me his decision date is still up in the airAnother quick note... I'm still feeling pretty good about Baylor landing Landon Peterson, but it was brought to my attention that the Texas Tech staff has been feeling pretty good as well. I'll stand by what I put in recently on our official predictions (Baylor -> High), but it does give me a little pause. As for his teammate and Baylor DE offer Matt Jones, he told me it has been their goal to play together. Similarly, however, the Texas Tech staff is feeling pretty good about landing Jones as well. I moved my prediction from high to medium on Jones prior to their trip to Waco at the end of the week. I still feel playing together wins out, but I'm not as confident as I was this time yesterday on Jones.
