WACO, Texas — Baylor football senior hybrid defender Jalen Pitre will take part in a weekly mini-documentary series on SicEm365.com to help tell the story of the 2021 Baylor football season as well as his journey as a student athlete.

“I am thankful for this opportunity to partner with SicEm365,” Jalen Pitre said. “This isn’t about me as much as it is about helping tell the story of this team. I hope that this will open doors and provide opportunities for my teammates in the future.”

Pitre will sit down with SicEm365 weekly to provide unique insight as to what it’s like playing major collegiate football in the midst of a vigorous schedule as a student athlete.

The partnership between Pitre and SicEm365 is the first content agreement for the online sports publication under the Name, Image, Likeness model approved by the NCAA earlier this summer.

“This isn’t about me as much as it is about helping tell the story of this team. I hope that this will open doors and provide opportunities for my teammates in the future.”

“NIL has opened up a new world for content creators who specifically work in the world of college sports,” SicEm365 Co-Owner Colt Barber said.

“Jalen was a priority for us to sign for a number of reasons, but specifically because he holds so much popularity with the Baylor family after the loyalty he showed the program even during his time in high school. Throw in his individual success on the field in 2020 and the potential he has for 2021 and it was a no brainer.”

The partnership with Pitre is one of many potential possibilities on the horizon for SicEm365.

“This is just the tip of the iceberg for what our publication wants to do with Baylor athletes,” Barber added. “Baylor fans — and truthfully the nation — deserve to hear the story of every athlete. SicEm365 is going to do the best we can to provide a platform for Baylor Athletes to do that.”

Filming for the project will begin Wednesday, August 4th ahead of Baylor’s start to fall camp. The series will be a non-premium content piece and available for public viewing.

Pitre earned First-Team All-Big 12 Honors and was Honorable Mention Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year as a junior in 2020 while starting all nine of Baylor’s games. He collected 60 tackles, 13.0 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks and intercepted two passes, each of which were returned for touchdowns.
