Yogi Berra once said, "You can observe a lot by watching." When Aranda and his players speak you can hear a lot by listening. That's not always the case with coaches and players, but with these guys there is a lot of content with their words.

Dear God, it's nice to listen to a head coach that doesn't just speak coach-talk and gives fans a little credit on their level of football intelligence.

I feel like coach is playing 3-D chess, while a lot of coaches are playing checkers, or putting on old west medicine shows.

Aranda listens to the question and gives you a thoughtful answer. Sometimes I don't really know what he's talking about but ask my wife about that. Nothing new. I think he's some kind of football genius. I like the chess vs. checkers analogy. He just seems like, if you are beating him, he knows exactly why and how to fix it.

The intangibles of this Baylor Bear football team remind me of Baylor's MBB. Teamwork, hard work, humility and upper classmen.

Jalen Pitre is as smooth at the microphone as he is in the field. That guy has crazy talent and charisma. Doesn't seem fair. I see him playing many years on Sunday. We are blessed to have that guy as a Baylor Bear.
