Positives
- Poise- tremendous poise on the road. Every time Iowa State made a run, Baylor answered with a timely play. Every team is elevating their play to try to knock off #1 and the Bears were able to counteract every punch.
- Shot the ball well. 54% on two point attempts; 41% from 3; 71% from the foul line.
- Took away the 3 for ISU (1-14).
- Sochan (12 points; 7 reb; 2 asst; 3 steals) and Cryer (13 points) were great off the bench.
Needs Work
- Turnovers (19) were an issue. Need to work on our press breaks. I thought we should use Kendall Brown as a “throw it up high” target, especially when defended by a small guard like Caleb Grill at ISU.
- Fouls I guess... I thought the physicality was pretty equal but ISU shot more free-throws (27-14) than Baylor.
- Closing out games
