Throughout the 2021 football season, the Baylor Bears scored 93 third-quarter points. That mark was actually the worst quarter-by-quarter split for the Bears last year. However, the Baylor defense was great in third quarters allowing just 54 points in the period throughout the year.
That makes for a +39 point differential over the course of the season, and it left the team with a third quarter record of 7-4-3 on the year. The “losses” came against Iowa State, Kansas State, Oklahoma State (Big 12 title game), and Ole Miss.
All of those games were wins for the Bears, so don’t put too much stock in quarter-by-quarter performance. Coach Aranda would surely say that a complete 60-minute effort is required to win ball games and beat good teams, and I’m not going to argue against that.

Elsewhere in Baylor football history, Tevin Reese showed off all of his speed on a 93-yard TD catch and run against Kansas State in 2013.
Bryce Petty’s throw was beautiful and Reese outran the Wildcats, just like the No. 15 Bears did in the end, winning 35-25.
