TEMPE, Ariz. – Baylor men’s tennis’ Adrian Boitan and doubles pair Finn Bass and Sven Lah were named ITA All-Americans, the organization announced on Monday.

This is Boitan’s second year in a row earning ITA All-American Singles honors, and third-consecutive time for Lah in doubles. It is Bass’ first ITA All-American Doubles accolade. With the announcement of the trio’s selections, BU now has 20 ITA All-American Doubles and 25 All-American Singles in program history.

Boitan, a native of Romania, went 17-0 on court one in the regular-season singles slate. He was tabbed Big 12 Player of the Year after being named Big 12 Player of the Week three times this season. Boitan had a career-high No. 3 singles ranking this season and was ranked in the top-five of the ITA for five weeks in a row and ranked seventh in the final rankings. He completed his junior season with a 21-4 singles record, 19-2 on court one.

The duo of Bass and Lah finished the season at 25-11, 9-8 against ranked opponents and 17-7 in dual matches. Their 25 wins is tied for fifth-all time at Baylor, with Michal Kokta/Lars Poerschke (2004-05) and Pawel Gajdzik/Johannes Michalsky (1998-99).

Lah is the outright career doubles wins leader with 115, passing former doubles partner Constantin Frantzen’s school-record total (112). A three-time ITA Doubles All-American and one of seven Bears in Baylor’s 200 Club, the Ptuj, Slovenia, native has a combined win record of 220 with 105 singles victories. He ranks third among those in the 200 Club behind Benjamin Becker (245) and Lars Poerschke (221) and is the fourth Bear to be in the club with over 100 wins in both singles and doubles. This was Lah’s third-straight season to reach the Elite Eight of the NCAA doubles championships, playing alongside Jimmy Bendeck, Constantin Frantzen and Finn Bass, respectively.

At the end of his junior season, Bass has a career doubles record of 57-21 with a 43-14 dual record. Playing exclusively with Lah on court one this season, he had a 17-7 record. He previously played doubles on court three with a 10-3 record in 2020 and 13-3 record in 2021.
