Sarah Andrews: Basketball, Leadership, School
Sarah Andrews discusses her growth on and off the court at Baylor. Her relationship with Odyssey Sims and the advice she gives her. Why leadership is important to her. Why she is bullish on this year's team. An injury that hindered her last season and more.
Conversation Notes
- Sarah discusses her major in corporate communications and the importance of networking while at Baylor and challenging herself academically to be the best version of herself.
- She talks about her role as a leader, to be hard on teammates but to love them even more. To see the greatness in each player that they might see in themselves and to push them to be their best.
- Sarah runs down a few quick thoughts on all of the newcomers this season.
- On her taking less shots down the stretch of the season, she broke her hand in the West Virginia game and just played with a broken hand the rest of the season. She’s fully healthy now and feels the best she has ever felt in a summer. She credits doing some yoga as having a big impact on that.
- On Nicki and why she stayed at Baylor, she saw how Nicki used Kennedy Carter in Atlanta. Once Nicki started coaching her, she did a great job of building her confidence and she knew Nicki was the coach for her.
- She answers all the message board questions
