Show of hands: Who's noticed the new Baylor hashtag, #BtrU19?

The Baylor coaching staff is working diligently to fill the final 10 spots in its 2018 class with the best players possible. But that doesn't mean the conversation focuses solely on that class. There are talented athletes in the upcoming classes, and the Bears were fortunate to add a big piece to their 2019 class on Thursday.

Cedar Ridge High School wide receiver Jaylen Ellis announced his commitment to Baylor and became the first pledge to help represent Baylor's new hashtag. Ellis exemplifies Baylor's current hashtag, #BFast, as he ran a sub-4.4-second 40-yard dash at the Baylor camp last week.

To say Ellis is a home-run threat is an understatement. He caught 27 passes for 800 yards and 12 touchdowns last season. For those doing the math, he averaged 30 yards a catch.

Ellis took time to speak with SicEm365 about his commitment and what's to come for him in the latest "6 Pack of Bear" segment.

YOU WILL BE KNOWN AS THE GUY WHO KICKSTARTED BAYLOR'S 2019 CLASS. HOW DOES IT FEEL?
"It feels good knowing I'm the start of something big in the class. Hopefully, more 2019s will see this and see Baylor is the way to go."

WHEN DID YOU KNOW BAYLOR WAS THE SCHOOL FOR YOU?
"The first camp I went to, last Sunday, as soon as I walked in, it felt natural. I knew this was where I wanted to be. When I met the coaches, it seemed like everything just matched up like a puzzle."

COACH MATT RHULE HAS BEEN ON FIRE SINCE HIS ARRIVAL. WHAT DO YOU LIKE ABOUT HIM?
"Coach Rhule is an honest guy. He'll tell you exactly how it is. At the camp, he told me I needed to do this on this route and do this on that route. When he talked to my parents, it was like they'd always known him. I loved how he got along with my parents."

FOR THOSE WHO HAVEN'T SEEN YOU PLAY, DESCRIBE WHAT BAYLOR WILL GET OUT OF YOU.
"In one word, aggressive. I feel I'm going to step on the field to give everything I have until the very end. I don't want to ever get outworked. I feel I have the right attitude to be able to help drive my teammates. I know that together, we can accomplish a lot."

WAS THERE ONE THING IN PARTICULAR THAT WON YOU OVER WITH BAYLOR?
"Baylor was a standout. It had many things I liked. I looked around at the staff and the campus, but the staff did some things that I knew I could follow. Coach Bell is my ex-high school coach. He pushed me harder than anybody, because he saw something in me. He knew I had a chance to do something special. I trust him."

IT'S NOW TIME TO PLAY PLAYER-RECRUITER. WHO ARE YOU TRYING TO RECRUIT FOR THE 2019 CLASS?
"I want to see two people -- Marquis Brown from Round Rock and Chux Nwabuko III from Hutto. To me, they stand out more than anybody. They have the same attitude as I do, and I think they are better than a lot of kids in the state."
