Joe and Ganaway: Injury issues in 2017

November 14, 2017

In this daily in-season SicEm365 Premium segment, former Bears JJ Joe and Terrance Ganaway answer questions regarding Baylor's upcoming games and performance from the previous week.

Joe, a quarterback for the Bears from 1989-1993, threw for 5,995 yards and 31 touchdowns for the Bears. Ganaway rushed for 2,051 yards and 28 touchdowns for the Bears from 2009-2011, including a senior season where he set Baylor's single season career record with 1,556 yards and 21 touchdowns.

Have you ever seen a year like this from an injury perspective?  The 2015 season was pretty bad for the Bears especially at QB but from an overall standpoint we have now seen five receivers miss time due to injuries (RJ Sneed, Tony Nicholson, Chris Platt, Gavin Holmes, Pooh Stricklin); two quarterbacks (Zach Smith, Anu Solomon), three tight ends (Ish Wainright, Jordan Feuerbacher, Rob Saulin); five running backs (Terence Williams, John Lovett, Trestan Ebner, JaMycal Hasty, Abram Smith); one offensive lineman (Mo Porter); one punter (Drew Galitz); five defensive lineman that I know of (KJ Smith, Xavier Jones, Jacobs, Micheal Johnson, Deonte Williams); five linebackers (Clay Johnston, Eric Ogor, Lenoy Jones, Jordan Williams, Terrell Bernard) and 10 defensive backs (Taion Sells, Verkedric Vaughns, Chris Miller, Grayland Arnold, Jameson Houston, Harrison Hand, Jordan Tolbert, Raleigh Texada, Trevon Lewis, Timarcus Davis).
