Baylor Men’s Basketball Headed to Las Vegas for College Basketball Crown Tournament
LAS VEGAS – Baylor Men’s Basketball has accepted an invitation to compete in the College Basketball Crown, a postseason tournament in Las Vegas for eight teams that didn’t make the NCAA Tournament.
The Bears will open the College Basketball Crown against Minnesota (15-17) at 9:30 p.m. CT on Wednesday, April 1. Participants in the Crown will receive name, image and likeness payments to be divided among their players.
Head coach Scott Drew’s squad finished the 2025-2026 regular season with a 16-16 overall record, the program’s lowest win-total since 2006-2007 (15). It’s just the third time the Bears have recorded fewer than 20 wins across the last 20 years.
Excluding the COVID-shortened 2020 season, this spring marks the first time since 2018 that Baylor Men’s Basketball won’t be competing in the NCAA Tournament. The Bears made the Second Round of the NIT in 2018 and were the NIT Champions in 2013.
The quarterfinals will be played on April 1-2 at MGM Grand Garden Arena, the semifinals on April 4 at T-Mobile Arena and the final on April 5 at T-Mobile Arena. All games will be televised on either FOX or FS1.
