Baylor commit tells Texas no thanks, will sign with Bears

Baylor fans have been sweating the fact that four-star running back Craig Williams‍ had recently picked up an offer from the Texas Longhorns and was contemplating taking a visit to check out campus. Well, no need to worry anymore, Baylor fans.

On Monday evening the Crosby, Texas prospect announced on Twitter that he will sign with the Bears on the second day of the early signing period.

Williams (5-9, 175) is one of two running backs committed to Baylor in the 2018 class. As a senior Williams rushed for 1,995 yards and 31 touchdowns on 199 carries while catching 22 passes for 293 yards and two touchdowns.

In his career at Crosby Williams totaled 3,995 rushing yards, 899 receiving yards and 70 total touchdowns.

Williams committed to Baylor on August 11.
