Excerpts from Interview with Oklahoma center Vionise Pierre-Louis

What's the challenge in playing Baylor?

The challenge for me is the one-on-one battle with Kalani (Brown). Making sure we limit their paint scoring and we maximize on our end on paint scores. That's the challenge for us right now.

How does Brown's game match up with yours?

We're just big, dominant. On both teams, you need Kalani Brown to win and same thing for our team. A big post presence alleviates all the pressure out on the perimeter. On that regard, we're the same. She just has a height advantage and she can move you. She can really move me so I have to stand my ground and battle every possession with her.

I think we knew at some point this season Kalani and/or Cox would get in foul trouble early. Now is where the girls can learn how to play without the bigs

Those last two possessions showed me something about DIdi she airballed a three footer with horrible shot came right back next time down crt took it right to basket and scored. Fearless.

No need to play Kalani unless OU goes up by a large margin. Save her for the 2nd half and come out strong after the half.

Why aren't they calling VPL for being in the lane for an extended amount of time? She's written a thesis and done all of next year's Christmas cards in there.

Ugh. Kristy is nails on D but cold from the field.
Pierre-Louis looks lousy one play then makes improbably shots.
The freshmen don't look scared--Morris and Richards scoring.

Clearly, this is a day when OU is dangerouls from 3. Hopefully Kim & Co. will adjust to that.

This is about as good as we could expect given Kalani's absence and OU's unusual success from 3. I suspect Kim will send the team out for 2nd half with a refreshed focus and purpose.

I don't see VPL getting away with much, quite frankly.

Coale is full of crap to say that she is not frustrated that Kalani has hardly played yet she is still down at the half. She knows what's about to happen when Kalani gets back on the court.

Disappointing that Cox could not show us a little more with Kalani on the bench.
