Beats a poke in the eye with a sharp stick.

For perspective, this is now considered a bad year for Baylor Basketball - being a 1 seed in the NIT.

This is my mindset too. #1 seed in the NIT is one I will take as a "bad season". Let's go out and win it again, Sic 'Em!!!!

Screw Wagner! I'll never forgive him for killing Natalie Wood

Ok whats worse, winning the NIT or losing in the first round of the big tourney. I dont mean losing as like an 8 seed but as a 16 seed... ill hang up and listen

Personally, i think if they had to chose they would say winning NIT. More fun to play a few more games of hoops am I right?

I think NCAA tournament bids always trump NIT runs in terms of prestige and national perception. But I find NIT runs far more fun as a fan than one-and-done trips to the NCAA tournament.

So, while I would always choose the NCAA tournament berth, I find the NIT to be a nice consolation prize and deep runs in that tournament to be a lot of fun.
