Are You Watching Baylor Volleyball?

Baylor Volleyball isn't a sport you'll usually see written about on a message board dominated by football, football recruiting, basketball for men and women, and even recruiting for basketball. Volleyball ranks in the thoughts behind baseball for most, but it shouldn't.

There were pages upon pages talking about volleyball in the Olympics and how much fun it is to watch, well here's your chance at Baylor.

After stumbling out of the blocks and opening the season with a loss to the University of Texas Rio Grand Valley and seeing a pedestrian record of four wins and four losses eight games into the season the team has run off ten straight victories.

These are not ten victories over Incarnate Word or Texas A&M Galveston. These are victories over LSU, Virginia, Washington State, Texas Tech, and ranked Kansas State.

The Lady Bears are now 14-4 on the season and sit at No. 2 in the conference.

The team is exciting to watch, just like everyone remembers volleyball during the Olympics. Katie Staiger, an outside hitter we introduced you to in 2013 out of Prestonwood Christian Academy, leads the team with thunderous spikes and was recently named AVCA National Player of the Week.

Jana Brusek was named Big 12 Conference Defensive Player of the Week with 65 digs.

Next up is a road trip to Lawrence to face Kansas and if the football game against Iowa State gets out of hand you can flip on ESPN3 and catch another fun team to watch.
