In Review: Baylor 73, Iowa State 69 Podcast & Thoughts

Baylor (17-9; 8-5) records their most impressive win to date.  A 73-69 win in Ames, IA against the Cyclones (19-7; 8-5).  The Bears were led by 17 points from Jared Butler.  

Positives

• Poise.  Tremendous poise.   Big answers all night.  Butler (17), Mason (14), Gillespie (14), Bandoo (10), Kegler (9) and Vital (6) all had big contributions at key moments.  
• Rebounding domination:  44-30 on the glass
• Butler was phenomenal with his shot making in the second half but set up well by Mason who drew ISU’s best defender all night.  
• Solid defense and not turning it over (9)
• Swept a top 25 team

Needs  Work

• A lot but nothing tonight.  A great win in a tough place to win.  Well played game by both teams.
