Lady Bears (26-1, 16-0) vs. OSU (14-13, 5-11) Preview and Game Thread

The Lady Bears play the last conference home game of the season against Oklahoma State at 1p.m. Saturday, March 2. This game should be a celebration for Seniors Kalani Brown and Chloe Jackson to finish their home careers. Baylor has a chance to finish the season undefeated at home. The first meeting was a 66-58 win in Stillwater where the Lady Bears struggled early and took control late.

They always seem to do a great job of maintaining their composure and figuring out a way to win, which is really a great sign for the post season.

Kalani had a nice double-double for her final home game. Hard to believe her time is almost over.

Now, we just need to finish this season strong. This is an amazing team!

Just a very very pleasing game for me.
Let's start with defense -- couldn't have been much better. In the past when we had an off-day shooting, we fell behind and had to play catch up. Now, with this team, the defense keeps the game close and finally we start hitting our shots and pull away. If we can keep playing this kind of defense WE WILL win a National Championship this year.
And the cherry on top - the play of the freshman. They still made a few mistakes that they will correct as they get more playing time, But they are getting better game by game. Queen Egbo had her best game of the season and NaLyssa had was a terror under the basket getting rebounds and making put backs., And Aquria DeCosta had a very good game. All of the freshmen and bench played well enough to win today.

The future still looks very bright!

When I can't watch a whole game and see we held a team to 20 in first half, I go "yay, D!!!" But then I see we scored 25, and I go "Uh oh!". The Lady Bears caught on fire for the second half for a dominant win. The low energy first halves concern me as we wind up regular season. An explosive opponent in the first half could bury us too deep. But I trust this team and CKM.
