No. 1 A&T Set to Visit Hawaii Pacific Tuesday

WACO, Texas– The No. 1-ranked Baylor acrobatics and tumbling team travels to Hawaii Pacific for a meet on Tuesday, March 12 at 7 p.m. HST in Honolulu, Hawai’i.

The meet is set to take pace at Moanalua High School in Honolulu.


The Bears are 4-0 heading into Tuesday’s competition after defeating No. 2-ranked Oregon, 285.150 to 277.355 on March 3 in Eugene. Their score for 285.150 is a season-high.
 
Head coach Felecia Mulkey, in her fifth season, is 45-1 all-time with the Bears and has won 23 straight. 
 

Hawai’i Pacific enters the meet 0-1 on the season after losing to Oregon, 275.180 to 267.190. 

 The Bears are 3-0 all-time against Hawai’i Pacific, with the last meeting coming on April 18, 2016 in the semifinals of the NCATA National Championship that was held in Waco. The Bears faced the Sharks twice that year, including a regular season victory, 271.335-267.335. The other previous meeting came on March 18, 2014 in a tri-meet at Azusa Pacific.

The Bears are 1-0 in competitions at Moanalua High School after the March 11, 2016 victory.

The Bears will return to the Ferrell Center for a 6 p.m. CT meet on Tuesday, March 26 vs. Converse College.
