BREAKING: Baylor lands commitment from 2020 OL Gavin Byers

Baylor landed a commitment from 2020 Colleyville (TX) Heritage offensive lineman Gavin Byers‍ on Tuesday evening, their second commitment in the last three days. Byers committed to the Bears over offers from Arkansas, Syracuse, New Mexico and Tulsa. 

Byers, who visited Baylor last weekend for Baylor’s junior day, recently measured at 6-foot-5 and 296 pounds.

Byers joins Spring (TX) Klein linebacker Will Garner‍ (6-3, 190) as Baylor’s second commitment in the 2020 class. Byers was recruited by Baylor offensive line coach Shawn Bell and area recruiter Joey McGuire.
