No. 7 Men's Tennis Faces No. 34 Oklahoma State on Senior Day
WACO, Texas – No. 7 Baylor men’s tennis (19-3, 2-1 Big 12) will celebrate Senior Day in its final home match of the regular season against No. 34 Oklahoma State (14-7, 1-1 Big 12) Sunday at 1 p.m. at the Hurd Tennis Center.
The program will recognize seniors Will Little, Jimmy Bendeck, Johannes Schretter and Juan Benitez after the match. Fans are invited to stay after the match for free ice cream sandwiches (while supplies last) and celebrate the senior class.
BU looks to secure its ninth perfect season at home and first since 2014 with a win on Sunday. The Bears are 28-1 in their last 29 matches dating back to the 2017 season. BU also looks to capture its 18th 20-win season in 23 years and first under head coach Brian Boland.
The Bears will play their 15th ranked foe of the season and are facing their seventh ranked opponent in a row.
Baylor comes into the match with four ranked singles players in No. 28 Johannes Schretter, No. 45 Matias Soto, No. 82 Will Little and No. 105 Sven Lah along with the top-ranked doubles tandem in the country in Lah and Jimmy Bendeck.
Meanwhile, the Cowboys have two ranked singles players in No. 84 Matej Vocel and No. 122 Artur Dubinski. Mathieu Scaglia and Maxim Tybar combine to be the No. 38 doubles team in the country.
Baylor leads the all-time series, 27-11, and are 14-4 against the Cowboys since 2008.
