WACO, Texas – No. 6 Baylor men’s tennis (20-3, 3-1 Big 12) will hit the road to face No. 23 Texas Tech (14-10, 1-3 Big 12) in its final match of the regular season Sunday at 3 p.m. at McLeod Tennis Center in Lubbock.

The match was originally scheduled for Saturday night at 6 p.m., but inclement weather in Saturday’s forecast pushed the match to Sunday.

The Bears will play their 16th ranked foe of the season and are facing their eighth ranked opponent in a row.

Securing its first winning record in Big 12 action in four years, BU looks to post its best record in conference play since the 2015 season (4-1).

Baylor comes into the match with a season-best five ranked singles players in No. 22 Johannes Schretter, No. 36 Matias Soto, No. 84 Will Little, No. 94 Adrian Boitan and No. 123 Sven Lah. For the fourth week in a row, Lah and Jimmy Bendeck are the top-ranked doubles tandem in the country.

Meanwhile, the Red Raiders have two ranked singles players in 86 Parker Wynn and No. 116 Tommy MyInikov. Wynn and Bjorn Thomson are the seventh-ranked doubles team in the country.

Texas Tech leads the all-time series, 31-29, and the Bears are 5-5 in its last 10 meetings against the Red Raiders.

Last season, the Bears blanked Texas Tech at home during conference action. BU captured the doubles point with wins on courts one and two, and then Schretter, Soto and Lah clinched singles points in the shutout.

Last time out, BU secured its 18th 20-win season in 23 years and first under head coach Brian Boland with a dominant 7-0 sweep over then-No. 34 Oklahoma State on Senior Day.
