ORLANDO, Fla. – After Tuesday night’s three-set thriller, Baylor men’s tennis senior Jimmy Bendeck and sophomore Sven Lah took a straight-set victory in Wednesday’s round of 16 match at the USTA National Campus in Orlando, Fla.

The top-ranked tandem traded games with 38th-ranked Brandon Laubser and Tad Maclean of Auburn and ended up going to a first set tiebreaker. The Bears clinched a two-point win and then rolled in the second set for the 7-6(5), 6-1 win.

By advancing to the NCAA quarterfinals, Bendeck and Lah are now the seventh Baylor tandem to garner ITA Doubles All-America honors. It is the first career All-America accolade for both Bears.

The top-seeded pair improve to 28-6 on the season and 15-3 against ranked opponents.
