Following an unofficial visit to Baylor during the day on Thursday, Pflugerville (TX) Connally High School three-star cornerback Jahdae Barron (5-11, 175) gave his verbal commitment to Matt Rhule’s staff on Friday morning.
The former TCU commit chose Baylor over the Horned Frogs as well as Oklahoma State, Iowa State, Texas Tech and Tennessee. He is Baylor’s 10th commitment of 2020 and the fifth pledge in the month of June.
Barron committed to TCU on March 7, 2019 and was committed for only a month before opening up his recruitment on April 22, 2019.
Baylor offered Barron on June 16 following a performance at camp in Waco where he ran a 4.47 40-yard dash and posted a 10-foot broad jump.
As a junior Barron caught three passes for 135 yards and two touchdowns on offense and collected 68 tackles with 6.0 tackles for loss with two interceptions.
