Find out who had big performances, who slumped, and what teams made a big move in the power rankings as Grayson Grundhoefer wraps up all the Big 12 action.

Kansas State played spoiler vs. Oklahoma 48-41

What went wrong?

KSU - The 1st and 4th quarters they were outscored 35-14. That was where almost all of Oklahoma’s scoring occurred as Kansas State just lost focus on defense for a little and the Sooners took care of the football.

OU - The two turnovers were extremely costly for the Sooners but the biggest issue was their run game. OU finished with just 102 yards on 26 carries. The offense struggled at times without its elite run game.

What went right?

KSU - The 2nd and 3rd quarters were an absolute onslaught by the Wildcats. They outscored the Sooners 34-6 during those two quarters that included three rushing scores by the quarterback Skylar Thompson.

OU - Quarterback Jalen Hurts continues to play at an elite level. He finished 19-of-26 for 395 yards and a touchdown to go along with 96 yards and three touchdowns on the ground.

Key Stats

*KSU running back James Gilbert had 13 carries for 105 yards and a touchdown.

*OU running backs Kennedy Brooks and Trey Sermon finished with six carries for 11 yards…..awful numbers

*OU wide receiver CeeDee Lamb continued his monster season as he had five catches for 135 yards and a touchdown.

Oklahoma State got back on track vs. Iowa State 34-27

What went wrong?

OSU - The Cowboys were only 2-of-12 on 3rd down conversions and they lost the time of possession battle by nearly 10 minutes.

ISU - The run game failed the Cyclones once again as they only mustered 86 yards on 25 carries. This made them one dimensional as they threw 63 passes.

What went right?

OSU - The turnover battle. OSU has been terrible at taking car eof the football and forcing turnovers. In this one the Cowboys only had one and forced three, this played a major role in the victory.

ISU - Wide receiver Deshaunte Jones and tight end Charlie Kolar combined for 179 yards and a touchdown on 16 receptions.

Key Stats

*ISU quarterback Brock Purdy finished 39-of-62 for 382 yards and a touchdown but he had three interceptions. He also only had one rushing yard.

*OSU running back Chuba Hubbard had 22 carries for 116 yards and a touchdown.

*OSU wide receiver Tylan Wallace had eight catches for 131 yards and a touchdown.

TCU stunned Texas 37-27

What went wrong?

TCU - Even with the four turnovers the defense forced, they still gave up 447 yards ot the Longhorns and only recorded one sack.

UT - Sam Ehlingher had his worst performance of the season as he finished 22-of-48 for 321 yards and two touchdowns but he also had four interceptions.

What went right?

TCU - The Horned Frogs defense was up to the challenge as they forced four Sam Ehlingher interceptions and held Texas to just 126 yards rushing. They also had six pass breakups.

UT - Wide receivers Collin Johnston and Devin Duvernay combined to have 15 receptions for 274 yards and a touchdown.

Key Stats

*UT safety Brandon Jones had 11 tackles and an interception.

*TCU true freshman quarterback Max Duggan finished 19-of-27 for 273 yards and two touchdowns. He also had 72 yards and a touchdown on the ground. He had an interception but this was his best performance of his career so far.

*TCU wide receiver Taye Barber had the best game of his career as he finished with 94 yards on five catches.

Kansas shocked Texas Tech 37-34

Alternative Title: Baylor beat Texas Tech for the third-straight week

What went wrong?

KU - The defense continues to be porous as the Jayhawks gave up 34 points and 483 total yards of offense.

Tech - A lot went wrong for Texas Tech on the defensive side of the ball but the game was still tied with 13 seconds and then disaster struck. Nick McCann blocked the Jayhawks game-winning field goal attempt and Douglas Coleman III recovered it. He then tried to return it and on the return he pitched it to a teammate try to get more yards. The pitch ended up on the turf, Kansas recovered it with two seconds left, and made a game-winning field goal.

What went right?

KU - QB Carter Stanley lit up the Tech defense as he was 26-of-37 for 415 yards and three touchdowns. He also added one on the ground.

Tech - QB Jett Duffey was 23-of-34 for 271 yards and three touchdowns to go along with 40 yards on the ground. He also didn’t have a turnover so good day at the office for him.

Key Stats

*KU receivers Stephon Robinson Jr. and Andrew Parchment had 295 yards and three touchdowns on just 13 catches.

*Tech safety Douglas Coleman III recorded his NCAA-best 7th interception of the season.

*KU running back Pooka Williams was held to just 69 yards on 21 carries.

Power Rankings

1. Baylor - The Bears are the lone undefeated team in the conference so they get to move up to number one this week. They take on West Virginia on Thursday in Waco.

2. Oklahoma - The Sooners fell flat on the road for far too much of that game against Kansas State. They came alive way too late. Finally that defense came back down to earth and got shredded by a very mediocre offense.

3. Iowa State - They lost at home to a desperate Oklahoma State team and it was a game where they missed out on points too often. The Cyclones were on a roll and then just fell flat. They have chances against Texas and Oklahoma so plenty of chances to do some damage in the conference.

4. Oklahoma State - They won in Ames which is one of the more difficult places to win at in the Big 12. The Cowboys needed a win in the worst way and they got it. Now they take on TCU in Stillwater with a chance to prove their trajectory for the season.

5. Kansas State - The upset of the week was Kansas State knocking off Oklahoma. This was a huge win and a statement game. The Wildcats are in a good spot now, ranked and one win away from bowl eligibility. They take on an improved Kansas team in a rivalry matchup in Lawrence this weekend.

6. TCU - The Horned Frogs got a big win at home and they looked really good on defense while showing improvement on offense. This was a big step in the right direction. They travel to Stillwater with an opportunity to move up and prove that they are back in the running.

7. Texas - The Longhorns drop like crazy. Ultimately they beat Kansas on a game-winning field goal while giving up a ton of points then this week they couldn’t stop a bad TCU offense. This team is just not playing well right now. They need this bye week.

8. Texas Tech - Well they lost to Kansas so they dropped as they enter a bye week. The Red Raiders need to get back on track or they could fall to the bottom of the Big 12 soon.

9. West Virginia - The Mountaineers have not looked good recently but have a chance to make a statement against the Baylor Bears on Thursday.

10. Kansas - The Jayhawks got a big win over Texas Tech and have been playing better over recent weeks but they lost to West Virginia so they stay at the bottom for now. This weekend they take on their rival Kansas State and have a chance to move up.
