Gatewood Report: MBB Analysis after Two Games
Former Baylor basketball legend Larry Gatewood averaged over 16 points per game for Baylor in an era where there was no shot clock or three point shot. His teammates used to complain that he didn’t pass the ball much. He told them, “I pass a lot, they are called rebound opportunities when I happen to miss.” When asked about his philosophy of defense, Gatewood replied, “defense is for resting.” Enjoy his witty commentary during basketball season.
