Should have scheduled MCC.

Really? Who would you have scheduled between Villanova, Arizona and Butler??

Oral Roberts couldn't accommodate us? They are looking for good non conference and they are regional. They also are a program that Bear fans should support since the staff is former Baylor men. Any normal fan would root for Oral Roberts because they have to overcome a 25 point litmus test in recruiting because of morality sticking points.

MCC was actually a good choice. It would draw interest and be fun to watch.

Sorry. You already told us. A junior college.

Why do you have to have a stupid, smart ass, Oklahoma comment about everything??
It spins guys like you who don't want to take down the top football program into a tailspin. You are about irrelevant overrated Texas and Texas Aggie (who doesn't have players on their team that were alive last time they won the Big 12 in football).

You want an Oklahoma comment, you got it. Lon Kruger isn't begging for a new arena though he needs it. The fact he was able to get to a Final Four with the worst arena and worst college gameday in the Big 12 solidify him as a Hall of Fame coach (Naismith). His past accomplishments hurt his chances getting an arena. The public is not convinced OU or their athletic programs need it.

Also, the Mavs big forward will eventually work himself back into shape after the first of the year. You cannot rely on a guy to be a big contributor until a year to two years after ACL surgery. Clark will struggle this season but will eventually be the player we all want to see next season.
this is a special brand of crazy. I can't believe we have fans complaining about scheduling. We were supposed to play at Oregon this year in addition to Villanova, Washington, Arizona, Florida and Butler. When Oregon backed out, we were left without another non conference game. All teams pay for 5 or so cupcake games.

The reason Lon Kruger isn't begging for a new arena is because he's about to retire! Drew hasn't turned 50 yet and wants to win championships. Kruger is planning his golden years.

I always get a laugh out of your basketball opinions but I felt like this one needed a fact check. Also Tristan Clark did not have an ACL tear, MCL. There is a big difference.

Staff
agree that the schedule is strong. It always is strong under Drew- usually top 10 by the end of the year in strength of schedule. In part due to how good the Big12 is but also because Drew (along with Texas, OU and Kansas) tends to schedule much tougher than the rest of the conference.

When Oregon backed out, we thought we had Mississippi State on a neutral site but that didn't pan out so we were left without a 13th conference game. You have to play those with an opponent in your exempt tournament (Myrtle Beach). That's why you will see some teams play the same non conference opponent twice.

Every team pays for 4-8 "guarantee" games. I say 8 because Texas Tech has a whopping 8 of those this year. They will be penalized heavily for that come selection Sunday, may be the difference between making the tourney and not making the tourney come selection Sunday.

As for Baylor, they buy about 4 games each year for home games. This year it was Central Arkansas (who returned a lot of players and was expected to be better); Texas State (returned a lot of players and is good enough to beat Big12 teams); Maryland Eastern Shore and Jackson State. UMES and Jackson State are bad. I would love to get better opponents but here's the issue...

You have to pay more for better opponents. And judging by our pathetic non conference attendance for all games outside a "name brand", perhaps the motivation to pay more to have a better team come play Baylor in an empty arena isn't that strong. Drew isn't going to play one of his former coaches (McCasland, Mills, Driscoll). There is no advantage in playing Houston, SMU, UTEP. They are good enough to beat you. That is their "big game" and it would be like #20 on the pecking order for Baylor. Texas St was a dangerous game from that standpoint but Ian struck that deal when he got Texas State to agree to a 2-1 football series. Tennessee Martin in Houston doesn't make a whole lot of sense. Wish we were playing Utah State instead. Utah State plays South Florida at that same venue.

This is a long winded way of saying, you will see 4-5 of these types of games each year. And you see them on every team's schedule.

Kruger isn't planning to retire. He plans to set a foundation for his son to take over. You post about my opinion then come up with a large piece of nonsense. The OU community hasn't forced the city council in Norman to vote for the mixed use development with the arena. The council would rather smoke their pipes and go to Thunder games.

The big difference is the Mavs big is playing against well accomplished players and we have a team last night that Galena Park Northshore could run out of the gym.

Who operated on Clark? These questions come up in basketball conversations all the time and is a good one at this point. There's a big difference between being rusty and having surgical complications as well. No one who gets paid related to the NBA has brought up surgical complications. Clark appears to be having complications. There's something to choke on with reality.

Oral Roberts not on the schedule? Oral needs the cash and their administration (the man who owns Hobby Lobby) likes the school being visable. Attendance is going average what it always averages at Baylor. Oregon, Arizona or La. Directional or Oral's evangelical squad. Last night's deal would have been just as well served against Hill College.

All truth.
Don't whine about attendance when you bring a D2 team masquerading under D1 status to play in December.

You are the laughing stock of all Baylor fans. The only person alive who does not respect the incredible achievements of Scott Drew.

Crawl back into your hole.

Did you really graduate from Baylor?

Of course, I graduated from Baylor. I remember those FC crowds prior to Drew. The locals never have been sold on things to show up. A Tuesday night game versus Yankee directional will never draw. Give me a time period when the locals flooded the arena for basketball?
Drew reminds me of Bobby Cremins. Take it or leave. I dont care but it would be cool if he was this generation 's Bobby Cremins. Two conference champions and 1 Final Four.

Crawl back in a hole? You do realize that it's not uncommon for basketball fans get the Drew brothers confused? They always did with the other brother at Vandy.

Dude, too many fans get Drew and his brother confused. It was terrible when Bryce was at Vandy.
There's plenty of people who aren't big fans of Drew. You will find many at basketball arenas elsewhere. I 've always compared Drew to Bobby Cremins, who won his conference twice and made a Final Four appearance.

Gladly a Baylor graduate though I do think the school must have group think lessons for some fans. I know plenty of Baylor fans who do not pump men's basketball sunshine. It's not like we are showing in droves for games. It's the same fanbase as 25 years ago. Some men's fans have a rivalry with Baylor Sing and the defending National Champion women. Those are the laughingstock fans of all sports fans.

Gladly a graduate. Do we offer a Master's in Group Think these days because you are absurd?
There's no difference between the fanbase now and 25 years ago. You expect the locals to come out to last night's game?
The laughingstock is the fact that our men's fans have major on campus rivalries between Sing and the defending National Championship women who have basketball fans outside the bubble believing KM should coach the men.
I love the posts blaming Sing and those singers for lousy basketball attendance. You post about crawling out of hole, does this happen elsewhere? The fact the men's fans consider the Baylor women an issue and a rival causes universal basketball fans to laugh their asses off. Even space aliens would think that's beyond stupid, unless the men's fans are jealous.

Can't leave out that I compare Drew to Bobby Cremins, apparently insulting to Georgia Tech and Baylor fans.

Go put on your Barry Switzer pajamas, kiss the autographed photos of Joe Mixon and Bob Stoops and turn the radio on and listen to Oral Roberts. Now that's a great Oklahoma night.

Oral Roberts was a scammer who fed off guys like yourself. A great night was watching at least one NBA Hall of Famer play last night against a European engineered future star with the Pacers. No pajamas, that's what the 1st 100 should get for attending Maryland Northeast Vo Tech. Help you fall right asleep over 7-10 empty seats on a Tuesday night in December. You can dream about the university banning Sing or the women's team getting moved up to the WNBA.

You seem intrigued with other men's clothes. The only OU clothes I would want to be mixed with my clothes would be Sherri Coale's bra and panties. It's because I like attractive women and she's worthy.

Also, I would want to know how many times former Ou coach, Kelvin Sampson, point shaved his margin of victory versus Drew. Kelvin was a gambler's legend when he coached at OU.

You really are perfect as an Oklahoma resident and jock sniffer...you think Sherri Coale is hot!!!!

Surely you are not a Baylor grad. Maybe you're the guy who sat all by himself at the cafeteria in Penland.

As alone as that must've felt, you are now similarity alone in your disrespect for Scott Drew, who I have never met, spoken with or communicated with in any way. I just admire what he has accomplished.

I've been a Baylor fan long before you were lusting after Ms. Coale, and I respect the job Drew has done, like every Baylor fan other than you.

Now, go have fun enjoying your framed autographed 8x10 glossy of Ms. Coale. .

Reply as sophomorically as you normally do. I'm done wasting time calling you out.

You have to remember that I m old.
Not a Penland boy. I m too out of line for those guys.

2 ACC Championships, and just 1 Final Four.
How did I disrespect Drew? Comparing him to Bobby Cremins? Bobby coached from 81-2000.

Send the glossy, I ll give it to charity.
