The difference between 1-11 and 11-1? Baylor's player development

One commitment and a significantly depleted roster met Matt Rhule when he got off the plane in December of 2016 in Waco. He thought he knew what he was getting into, but admits now that the roster situation and the program was in worse shape than he realized when he agreed to take the Baylor job.

His first task was to resuscitate the team as the players already on campus were ready to abandon ship, but taking the roster that was somewhere around 50 scholarship players and making it complete again was the bigger challenge.
