What is CBD?

CBD or "cannabidiol" is one of more than 80 naturally-occurring chemical compounds found in the cannabis and hemp plants. These compounds are known as "cannabinoids," and each one is uniquely different from the next. For instance, CBD is non-psychoactive unlike the more commonly known cannabinoid, THC or tetrahydrocannabinol. THC is responsible for the "high" one gets when, for example, smoking marijuana. However, because CBD oils contain less than 0.3% THC, you won't feel any psychoactive effects when consuming these products. And in addition to cannabidiol, most CBD oils contain other beneficial, non-psychoactive cannabinoids to produce something known as the "entourage effect." click to read more
