Guard- Adam Flagler (6-3 185 lbs SO)

Wingspan:  6-5

KenPom Offensive Rating:  112 (Presbyterian FR)

Adam Flagler is a combo guard who came to Baylor after an impressive freshman debut at Presbyterian.  He averaged 16 ppg while shooting 39% from 3.  Flagler is a polished offensive player but no one-trick pony.  He can defend well.  He should be a major piece of the best backcourt in college basketball.

Strengths:  Flagler made 108 three pointers as a freshman.  To put that in perspective, it was 31 more than the highest number on Baylor’s team last season (Butler- 77).  He can score off the bounce with pull-ups; from 3 and driving to the rim.  He takes care of the basketball (top 70 in turnover rate as a frosh) and passes it well.  He is an excellent on the ball defender.   He makes the simple, right basketball play consistently.

What Needs Improvement:  He’s a great teammate and unselfish to a fault.  He will at times defer to others and needs to develop an attack mindset at all times.  Defensively, he will be really good on the ball but could be outstanding with steals and deflections if he improves off the ball.

Player Comparison:  Wes Matthews and E’Twuan Moore are two that come to mind.  Both considered 3 and D guys that are good 3 point shooters.  Flagler may have some simliarities to Lace Dunn in his ability to score and make tough shots.
