We likely put a lot into preparing for Cade, and with him out - we have shown to be incredibly flat. Need to stay within 8 and have a fire lit under us at halftime. This is an experienced, mature team. I think they will regroup.

All things considered, being down by only three at the half is not the worst thing in the world. I'd really like to see Mayer step up in the second half because he gives us such a better match up wrt the height disadvantage we had in the first half. Get him into the middle of the zone and distributing to the guards on the outside and baseline cutters. I really think the offense would flow well through him against the zone if he can focus on passing more than being a ball dominant scoring option.

An inconsistent 1st Half by the #2 ranked Baylor Bears. Too bad Jared Butler's basket late in the 1st Half was changed from a 3 to a 2. Thus, the 36-32 Halftime deficit. More surprising than the score is Oklahoma State with a 23-12 lead in team rebounds. I expect some good halftime adjustments from Scott Drew, and his coaching staff. A better 20 minutes of team basketball ahead for our beloved Baylor Bears.

Has anyone noticed that if OSU gets inside the 3 point line our defenders immediately seem to retract from the OSU guy and leave almost a clear shot at the bucket (triangle like in terms of the distance and spread)? Think JTT and Thamba have 2 and 3 fouls already so that might be a thing.

13 fouls to 6, but almost every foul I've seen called on us since 8 minutes to go in the first half until now has been a foul because we're beaten on the first step and either try to respond by reaching or bodying, so they're legit calls.

At some point Thamba has got to give way to JTT in terms of a swap of min right? He just doesn't seem to give us much at all. Thought when I last looked his rebounding hasn't really been a benefit.
