Baylor has landed pledge No. 3 in the 2022 recruiting class as Bowie (TX) High School offensive lineman Coleton Price‍ gave his pledge to the Bears. His commitment came immediately after receiving his offer from the Baylor staff.

2022 BAYLOR FOOTBALL RECRUITING CLASS

The 6-foot-4, 275-pound prospect has drawn some comparisons to 2021 Baylor signee Tate Williams‍ due to his 11-inch hands, shot put ability, first step, athleticism to play both ways in high school and confirmed size. Their recruitments have also been similar as the staff found Williams early before he had any offers and gained the edge much like they have done with Price.

The underrated prospect has been talking to James Blanchard and Joey McGuire for the most part as he waited for the staff to come together and offer him. Price also has been hearing from Texas Tech and Texas State as well but once the Baylor offer came he knew what he wanted to do.

“I’m looking for a place where I can fit in and where I enjoy, like family, and somewhere I can make it to the next level,” he said. “Choosing Baylor was not a hard decision for me, this is my chance to play hard for an awesome football program and get a great education while furthering my relationship with Christ.”

Price is the first of what will be many offensive linemen in this class. He joins Kaian Roberts-Day‍ and Carmello Jones‍ in Baylor’s class.

My takes from his video:
1. Has a really, really good first step. Very quick off the ball 2. Finishes every play almost to his detriment. I could see some unnecessary roughness or holding calls potentially being made on some of those pancake blocks. He seems so determined to get the pancake on these smaller kids that he could be blocking them right into the play. 3. Needs to work on his pad level. Plays way too high. Needs to develop better flex in his legs or he will lose leverage against players of comparable size. 4. Is going to be a project when it comes to pass protection. I only saw one pass play, and he did a chop block on it. Overall, the young man has good size, promising footwork, and the tenacity you look for in a prospect. It will be interesting to see what he develops into as a player. He certainly is an intriguing prospect and easy to see why Baylor offered him an opportunity to play at a high level.

This big guy is clearly well done, he has a great successful future. But the question is - will he have time to study well? It is important for an athlete to have a good education. You can hire a tutor or use https://plainmath.net/when you need help with a difficult subject like math. It's always nice to find math homework help and answers. This not only helps to raise your score but also trains the brain well.

If he's being compared to Tate Williams, that's good enough for me. Tate's a monster ... and one heck of a good kid.
