Lady Bears begin Big 12 Tournament at 1:30 p.m. against Tech
After finishing the regular season with their seventh-consecutive Big 12 Championship, Kim Mulkey and the Baylor Lady Bears head to Oklahoma City to participate in the Big 12 tournament. The Lady Bears begin tournament play on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. CT against No. 8-seed Texas Tech who defeated No. 9-seed TCU on Friday
To go along with their seven-straight regular season titles, Baylor has won the last six tournament championships and aim for their seventh this weekend and ninth overall. The Lady Bears have posted a 35-12 all-time record in the tournament.
With four players averaging north of 11.0 points in conference play, the Lady Bears scored a total of 1,533 points in the Big 12 regular season, surpassing Oklahoma's 2001 team and becoming the top scoring team in the history of the league.
Currently ranked No. 2, Mulkey's squad is projected to receive a No. 1 seed in the 2017 NCAA tournament.
