Get your National Championship gear!

Baylor (28-2) used an 11-1 run to start the game and control the national title contest from start to finish beating Gonzaga (31-1) 86-70 and ruining their undefeated season.  Baylor is the undisputed national champs!

Positives

  • You can’t win 6 in a row until you win 6 in a row.  Baylor is bringing a national championship back to Waco, Texas.
  • Jared Butler was amazing in this game.  22 points; 7 assists and 0 turnovers.  But the quadruplets were locked in from start to finish on both ends of the court.  71 points for the best backcourt in the history of college basketball.  I said it.
  • Mark Vital = beast.  6 points; 11 rebounds (8 offensive); 2 assists; 1 block; 2 steals.  He destroyed Gonzaga psychologically.
  • Held Gonzaga to 1.03 points per possession and 70 points.  In case you were wondering, those were season lows.  They had an off night.
  • Jon, Flo, Matt- all great contributions
  • Shout out to Zach Loveday for the big time block and Mark Paterson for stuffing the stat sheet (steal) once again
