How long do you want to ignore this user?
I agree. A running quarterback is a non-dominant offensive line's best friend. And his big arm has the potential to provide the deep threat we were missing last year. It also just gives the team some confidence to know your qb might just break a tackle or even rattle off a 50 yard run. Remember how electric it was to have quarterbacks (most recently Seth Russell) that could do that?

He was such a big recruiting win and such a talented athlete I would just hate for him never to get the chance to prove what he can do with significant playing time, particularly after waiting so patiently for his turn and being a great teammate. I think Gerry has the potential to really surprise people this year if we can play to his strengths and improve our play around him. It just seems like his turn and would be an awesome story if the patient and humble qb from Earle Arkansas really makes some noise in the big 12. I think it could happen.

I agree. Zeno will get his shot sometime this year, but it is B's to lose.

big arm?? he is terribly inaccurate past 15 yds and if we don't have a deep threat this offense will be very limited.

Yes he has a big arm. Aranda repeated this in his most recent interview but it is clear from his film going back to high school. Big arm and accurate throwing are two different skills.

And in the spring game he showed some accuracy on throws beyond that distance. For him success will really be about decision making and developing enough confidence in the drop back game to keep defenses honest.

(If by chance you are basing your analysis on 2019 after his injury you need to remember he was severely hobbled.)
