Or that Hurd will be a pro bowl player right away?
He (Hurd) might be one in a year or two but probably not this year (even if he wins rookie of the year) and judging by the way Rhule has looked for an NFL job after each season he will be gone by the time Hurd becomes a pro bowler.
My prediction is Rhule will leave after this year.

No I don't listen to podcasts.
And when it comes to coaches talking we could probably create a list of 100 coaches in all sports all levels that have said they are staying at ______ only to take a new job a few days, weeks or months later.
Saban from Miami to Alabama comes to mind.
Harbaugh from Stanford to Michigan.

If coach Rhule says at the end of the 2019 Baylor football season that he is leaving Baylor, yes, you will be correct. If he does not leave for 2-3 more years you will be wrong.
It seems like you are just always looking and hoping for a negative outcome to me.
Your post was full of half truths that you are attempting to pass off as facts. Harbaugh never said he wasn't leaving Stanford (https://www.nytimes.com/2011/01/01/sports/ncaafootball/01harbaugh.html), and the article you probably saw was his brother saying he wasn't leaving Stanford for Michigan (https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.sbnation.com/platform/amp/ncaa-football/2011/1/4/1915293/jim-harbaugh-stanford-michigan-john-harbaugh). Uhhhh, Harbaugh didn't go from Stanford to Michigan.
But leave it to a sunshine pumper to ignore the rest of my post about coach speak and how they talk all the time and then turn around and leave.
LOL. There are going to be some hurt butts when Rhule gets his NFL job and leaves.
I was just pointing out that your post was missing something that is important when trying to make a coherent argument: namely, facts.
Saban said he was staying with the Dolphins... and then left.
Harbaugh said he was staying at Stanford and then left.... and then left SF....
Coaches say it all the time. Heck there have even been some that have held press conferences, said they are staying and then within days take a new job and leave.
So a coach saying he is staying at Baylor but then has spent each of his 2 offseasons flirting with other jobs shows that he is not going to stay forever.
So, yes Saban and Petrino both blatantly lied. Harbaugh did not.
UMMM try again

And about a dozen more I could post.
So no my post was not full of half truths. It was full of 100% facts.
Almost every coach says they are staying at X program and then gets a bigger school calling, their school, NFL, etc and they turn around and go. Rhule appears to be no different with the way he has flirted with the NFL after both of his seasons here.
The point still stands that coaches say all the time they are staying for years, this year, next year, etc and then leave.
thx for the update.boognish_bear said:
