Gameday Thread: No. 4 Baylor at Iowa State
AMES, Iowa – The No. 4 Baylor women’s basketball team makes its way to Hilton Coliseum on Saturday to face off against Iowa State at noon.

STARTING FIVE
Saturday’s meeting between Baylor and Iowa State is the lone contest between the two programs this season.
Dre’Una Edwards and Aijha Blackwell have each finished in double figures on the boards in four games this year. Blackwell has turned in double-digit rebounds in two-straight games heading into Saturday’s contest at Iowa State.
Sarah Andrews has 207 career 3-pointers and needs 52 more to break Odyssey Sim’s record of 258. The senior guard has hit at least two from range in 14 of 15 games this year.
Baylor is one of four teams in the country, joining Kansas, Mississippi State and Louisville, with five 1,000-point scorers on its roster. Yaya Felder is the latest member of the 1,000-point club after recording the final point in BU’s 87-58 win over Houston on Jan. 6.
The Bears were named the NCAA.com Team of the Week on Tuesday, Jan. 9 for their impressive wins over then-No. 23 TCU and Houston at home last week.
SCOUTING THE SERIES WITH IOWA STATE
Baylor is 33-11 all-time against Iowa State and 12-6 in Ames. The Bears and the Cyclones faced each other three times last season with Iowa State taking two of three meetings, including the
quarterfinal matchup in at the Phillips 66 Big 12 Championships in Kansas City.
In Baylor’s win over the Cyclones last season, BU outlasted then-No. 12 Iowa State, 76-70, at Hilton Coliseum behind Sarah Andrews’ team-high 21 points. Over the last 10 meetings, Baylor holds the slim 6-4 advantage in the series.
