2026 Baylor Football Transfer Portal Tracker
Kansas State rising redshirt senior safety Daniel Cobbs has committed and signed with Baylor.
Cobbs played 415 snaps for the Wildcats in 2025, totalling 39 tackles and 3 interceptions. His first interception of the season was a pick off of Baylor’s Sawyer Robertson during the first quarter of Kansas State’s game in Waco.
In three seasons at KSU, Cobbs has played 507 total snaps, totaling 54 total tackles and four interceptions.
Cobbs will have one season of eligibility remaining and joins a thin safety room that featured Devin Turner, who missed all of 2025 with an injury, Jacob Redding, Tyler Turner and Micah Gifford before McCalister and Cobbs signed.
A standout two-way player at Fossil Ridge (TX) High School, Cobbs totaled 70 tackles and multiple interceptions in his prepcareer. He was an unrated prospect in the 2022 high school recruiting class before spending a year at Tyler Junior College, before making his way to Manhattan, Kansas.
He becomes the fourth Wildcat player, joining EDGE Ryan Davis, cornerback Jayden Rowe and fellow safety Colby McCalister, to follow defensive coordinator Joe Klanderman to Waco; Klanderman spent the last six seasons as K-State’s defensive coordinator.
