I know years ago Houston had AstroWorld. I guess I haven't really kept up with this since I live in the DFW. Anyway, today I was told Houston doesn't have an amusement park. Why would one of the biggest cities in the US not have one??

ummm have you seen hot and humid it is in Houston? Plus Astroworld was awesome until it became gang infested.

My first spouse was from Houston but after our divorce I stopped going.
Save for the Texas Bowl.
What could possibly go wrong?

Although Houston is a large city with strong drawing power, the lack of amusement parks is partly due to the closure of AstroWorld, changing visitor preferences, competition from neighboring parks, and a shift in the city's focus toward other types of recreation
