Homemade Pizza night with Heineken Silver. Not the best beer, but works well on a Friday night.

I have noticed the BU crowd is big on arguing and not so much on other non-arguing subjects.

Late last year, I considered that my 1-2 drinks at night was probably more like 4-5 drinks considering the way I pour my liquor. Since then, I've made an effort (not always successful) to hold off the alcohol Sunday night through Thursday.
This summer, I've been making Gin and Tonic with Beefeater gin and elderflower tonic water. Evenings, I found I really like Siete Leguas tequila.
If the weather ever changes, I'd like to go back to my experiments with Old Fashioneds. The wife like Manhattans.
The old standby is pouring scotch whiskey on a big ice cube.

I started drinking bourbon during COVID. Enjoying it. But, I will do a wine country trip and go back to cabs for a few days. There's are some amazing Cabs out there.

Have you tried Cheers restore? I take them. I can't say if they work or not. My liver numbers are good. I'd hate to ruin my back nine because I like booze. I want to be healthy and see the 3 year old graduate college.

Heh. I feel perfectly fine, and never really had a doctor complain about it.
I turned 55 last week. I only mention that because I did notice that, on the nights I don't drink, I pretty much sleep comfortably all night. When I have been drinking, it's obvious I wake up when the alcohol's been metabolized.
If I have a reason, the "weekdays" thing isn't a hard rule. Sometimes that reason is, "I want to".
