I have very wide feet. Width is 4.6"-4.7". In most shoes this is EEE. Many boots do not come that large unless you go custom. Anyone else have this issue for wide feet? What have you found to be the most comfortable. Also, I am not a huge fan of the large square toe as they do not seem as nice, but maybe that is the direction I need to go as well?

Just read the title and thought to myself 'definitely go with the square toe'. I too have pretty wide feet, and have found that the traditional pointy toe is generally uncomfortable, though I think it looks better.

The rounded toe sometimes works well.

Lucchese has some square toed boots that look pretty good, not clunky at all. You may be able to do a round toe. Just avoid the roach killers.

What are roach killers?

Don't guess you are from South Texas or parts nearby. Roach killers have very pointed toes, so much so that even if a cockroach makes it all the way into the corner, he is still short lived.

Also like a lot of cushion. I have some nice custom boots, M.L. Leddy's, but the insoles are horrible (and boots were on $1500)

I have wide feet as well, and the Lucchesse 1883 model has always been the tried and true for me. Always with the snip toe. I can't stand square toe boots. Also have had a pair of Tony Llama ostrich boots for 20 years now (on their 5th re-sole). They are also point toe and are wide enough for me.

You can add some Ariat ATS insoles for more cushioning. I just bought my first pair of square toe boots last week. They are Lucchese smooth ostrich. I like them a lot. The square corners are rounded quite a bit so they don't look too weird. But there was no cushioning and they didn't feel good at all until the sales person added the Ariat insoles. They feel great now.

I have the same issue, wide feet and I also have a large calf so all my boots are custom .

I've never had on a pair of cowboy boot but think the Luchasse and Noconas look great.

Get you a pair sometime. A broken in pair of boots are some of the most comfortable things you can put on your feet

I've heard this said before and I just must be buying the wrong boots. I have had Ariat, Luchhese, custom, Laredo and none are as comfortable as a nice pair of sneakers.

Maybe you're getting the wrong leather. Ariat boots are rarely comfortable. A good pair of Justin s-kickers are more comfortable than Ariat.

Calf skin are solid. Ostrich are the most comfortable in my opinion.

I have many pairs of boots. I also have wide feet and a high instep. My Lucchese round toe are my most comfortable. I bought them about 10 years ago and had them reheeled and resoled last year.

I dont want to live forever.
But I will live while I'm here.

Thanks Limited. Do they sell a EEE or was the EE good? I ried the EE the other day and was a little too snug

The EE in a size larger works for me. I think you can also order custom fit.

I didnt see Tony Lama listed but I have a pair of ostrich Lama boots that have held up very well.
