Anyone been lately? We had a blast on Memorial Day Weekend and can't wait to back

Stayed here (Gran Hotel Ciudad de Mexico) for $133.37/night (the whole city is unbelievably cheap). The hotel was used in a recent James Bond movie.

From the Baslica de Nuestra Seora de Guadalupe which is the National Shrine of Mexico

We went to the Basilica on a Sunday. I'm not Catholic, but the hats are cool.

Teotihuacan was about an hour drive outside of town. This drive was the only time we really saw true poverty, but the pyramids are excellent.

Previously mentioned poverty on road to the pyramids

Typical street near our hotel

Interesting food in one of the markets

Flights from Dallas were >$200.00 and you're there 2 hours. Uber makes traveling in the city really safe and every trip seemed to be $3-$5 with no haggling like you would in a taxi. I'm trying to plan another trip to get to Chapultepec where they have the flag from the Alamo and a ton of other great museums and attractions.
Noooo evidence for that, babeeyyy, just maaade it up.

Great pictures. Thanks for taking the time to post them. Traveling there can be challenging, but in the era of Uber and Google Translate, it can be done fairly easily. Look to YouTube for great suggestions as to other locations to visit. Just be aware that some posts are over 2-3 years old, so the information/opinions may be in need of updating.

I'd love to travel to Mexico and try their foods! And of course to visit some nice place out there. Someday soon

I was there last year and loved it! I had no problems. I stayed in the Marriott in Polanco. Gorgeous area and right next to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chapultepec and this museum, which is amazing https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Museum_of_Anthropology_(Mexico).

Polanco is VERY upscale. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polanco,_Mexico_City

Unfortunately this is starting to happen
